Chapter 6 - - the outcome.

" that's not possible father, no one is capable enough to overthrow us, not now, not ever. " her voice was serious now, she looked at the paper searching for a hint behind the reason for this but it was clear, just instructions nothing else.

gods sat baffled, upon hearing the prophecy they shifted uncomfortably in their seats and some wanted to propose an argument assuming Apollo would've something to do with this. but with Zeus being present here, no one dared to propose an argument or go against any of his actions.

Zeus looked at Hermes skeptically and asked him, "Have something to say William? "

the red-haired male looked at his father anxiously, his words not daring , escaping his mouth. he looked as if he saw a ghost and stared at his maker, just staring.

"I - uh well, nothing Father, just talking with Helene, hah. "

" that's what I thought," said the god, his eyes piercing through Hermes's.

the blonde sitting beside Lucian crossed one leg over another and proposed a temporary alliance in his soft tone.

" what if we all just stop panicking and listen to what I have to propose to you all, my Highnesses? "

now all of the heads turned towards where the voice came from and Ezekiel received mixed emotions from them.

despite how annoyed he was right now, he smiled most genuinely and spoke softly, " Evaluating from what all hints I could pick up from the traces of the killer, he's around 6 feet tall or maybe an inch taller. I know this because the killer should be of that height to fit in through the basement where he killed the man in his own house. he barely left any traces behind but few locals saw him before they were slaughtered by him again. If I may be allowed to perform the divine ritual then I may be able to get memories from the dead and make it easier for us to avoid the danger proposed to us, so what do you all think about it?"

the gods looked at one another, whispers and murmurs spread throughout the hall, leaving the latter in confusion. he looked at Vincent and received two eyes smiling at him, assuring him that everything was going to be alright. he held Ezekiel's slender hands firmly, smiling at him.

" well, we are okay with it but Hades seem to be the only one opposing this," said Sebastian, god of the sea, smiling politely. he had a fair, pale complexion adorned by his sharp facial features attractive enough to lure anyone in just enough to get his own needs satisfied one way or another. his curly hairs prettified his forehead by covering up them, his light brown hairs dangling with excitement. His enticing sea-blue eyes seemed to work their charm on everyone, manipulating them into believing his vision.

ezekiel's gaze shifted towards Hades who was now living comfortably on his seat, designing little clouds colored in crimson red like paint whirring around the top of his head, like an angel's band. hearing his name being called, he looked up to Ezekiel nonchalantly, his face carried a mask of emotionless peace or maybe he just really wasn't interested at all.

ezekiel felt guilty for trapping the god like this, his heart ached at the sight of his boyfriend- no his loved one behaving this coldly towards him. there had been several times when he had pulled up pranks with him since he had been close with the underworld god for years now but to avoid one apocalypse resulted in a personal battle within him as he couldn't think of how to fix this mess by being loyal to his master and his only one at the same time. he felt bad about everything. but right now he had to get Hades to agree on this proposal or the doomsday is just closer than they think.

sighing, he went on to look back in those lovely red eyes which now showed anger and betrayal behind the disguise he wore.

" my honourable god of the underworld, I must apologize for the inconvenience caused to you by this proposal right here but we need to perform the ritual to know the identity behind this killer. on top of all, we would need access to the underworld for me to grasp their last hour memories. it's a high time, my lord Vincent. "

he could feel Vincent's eyes piercing through his soul, burning him with his gaze as his attention was all on him and him alone.

"My lord, what would you say about this proposal now? " questioned the butler as his curiosity consumed him from inside.

"Well, well my lovely Ezekiel, I would just change my mind about this if my Highness here would grant me the wish I rightfully deserve. "

he said the last two words smirking, his voice seemed to grow huskier as he said that while his eyes still not leave the sight of Ezekiel. the great god narrowed his eyes looking at his brother whom he loathed with passion and asked him what he wished for so that he would finally let the assembly disperse in peace. he knew it was something deadly, something almost impossible to achieve, in a way it just felt so oppressing for Zeus as he knew he would be able to do nothing as this was a wish he granted to Hades when he saved his only one, his Ezekiel. now he regretted it all. his butler just stared at him innocently, not knowing what was coming for him.

" from now on he shall be within my authority and no one should dare intertwine in between unless you want me to drag you through the gates of hell and then feed you to Cerberus. "
