Damon spent peaceful days in the vibrant Rainbow Isles, occasionally giving the Cat God a ride. He was a fucking machine, and this was his way to relive the pressure and unload his demons. He had to learn to forget the guilt that wasn't his, the guilt of Damien's doings, but there was a lot of pressure and self-hate within him because he saw himself as weak.
But cat god, now a female feline, pretty and fuckable too, made him talk. But most of their time was spent in deep conversation. Damon's words flowed endlessly, as he delved into his past, unraveling the layers of his true self. Gradually, he could feel his humanity returning. Memories that belonged solely to him resurfaced, allowing him to see how Damien had twisted his thoughts.
It was Damien who had driven him to betray Mimi, pushing him away so he wouldn't be with her. But what were Damon's true feelings for her now? Damien's obsession with Mimi had been dark and twisted, seeing her as his possession. Damon was unsure of his own emotions towards her. He felt nothing.
He had put that part down, that Damon, who had been like a bubble, around in his mind and onto the surface, while himself, the core, had been imprisoned so long and then manipulated by Damien. He was now whole but that emotional part was resting, was put away as it just confused him and made him feel himself distracted. He was seeking who he actually was.
Suddenly, the Cat God beckoned, saying, "There is one last task concerning Mimi. Come closer and witness."
Damon watched in horror as he saw Mimi being captured, her delicate hands crushed and twisted. God revealed how she escaped, enduring pain and finding solace in a secluded house in Nevada. There, she sought refuge, her spirit wounded. God showed Damon the arduous journey of Mimosa's heat and the mounting difficulties faced by Mirella. Damon now realized that Mirella was not in the right place. Mirella was truly evil and not to be trusted at all.
Addressing him, the Cat God said, "Mimi is about to reach out to Mirella. Remember the tainted detergent, Mirella. Others are involved, but have yet to reveal themselves. You are Damon, a wizard, possessing magic and serving as Mimi's protector. This has always been your role. I know your intentions. Go now. I will be waiting. I will bring you here once Mimi is safe. Can you truly leave her at Mirella's mercy?"
Damon rose to his feet, determined, and replied, "Very well, Mimi is in the wing, and I cannot gain entry. It has been arranged that way."
The Cat God suggested, "Why not call Charles and disclose everything? Every detail, including Damien. Mimi is vulnerable to him as well. Remember that. She must face this new reality too, and she is still very much a target of Damien. Charles and Adam must know this, and Damien is the real threat to her."
Damon let out a weary sigh. He felt compelled to heal Mimi, but that was the extent of his emotions. He would fulfill his duty. He felt no love for her; he felt no emotion for her, only his need to heal and help, protect. Damon nodded in agreement and, in an instant, found himself inside the house in Nevada. He dialed Charles's number and began sharing the entire truth, starting with Damien.
His voice, smooth and steady, cut through the air as he began to unravel the truth to his friend. "Charles, did you know Mimi was right? Damien was not just a figment of my imagination. He exists, and now he has broken free from me. No more shed sessions. However, with Damien now inhabiting a physical body, he might pose a threat to Mimi. I am currently staying at Nevada's house. Mimi needs me, but for now, I can't seem to feel anything for her. I'm unsure about my feelings for her, or what Damien truly was, now that I am complete. I am not the same as I was before. It was merely my emotional side, so you can have her. At least until I sort out my thoughts. I'm not divorcing her, but I need to be elsewhere after I have healed her. I am now an energy being, and so are you and Adam, too. But Mimi is not. She has transformed into chaos, and chaos cannot exist as an energy being. My friend sees me as a wizard as well."
He did not yet say anything about God or his origins. Time to tell would come later on and then everything would be revealed in due time. He was now in doctor mode, ready to take care of one very dangerous and unpredictable creature. He did not see Mimi as human, but as the creature, much like he saw himself too. He was not sure about who or what he was or what Mimi was.
Charles spoke, his words permeating the air. "Oh, my goodness, what a tale. I understand you need time, and we won't poison Mimi's mind against you, not in the slightest. What can I do to help?"
He replied to Charles. "I know you and Mimi are bound by Mimosa, but be cautious around Mirella; she is wicked. Mimi is severely injured, and as always, Missy is tending to her wounds. I should gain access to the wing immediately. I'm off to administer anesthesia to a young lady and then determine my next steps."
Charles stated. "Very well. I'll send you the codes and a QR code for your phone so you can enter the wing. It seems they aren't as essential now. We will remain vigilant against any threats from Mirella and keep a watchful eye on Damien as well."
Charles granted Damon permanent access to every house. Damon let out a weary sigh and returned to his work. He decided not to disclose anything to Mimi just yet. Now, he needed to act decisively and ensure she fell into a deep slumber swiftly. The demonstration of her newfound powers, telekinesis, or whatever it may be, wasn't always a positive development. She was an extremely dangerous creature and, due to her injuries, unpredictable too, so she could injure him swiftly and without warning.
I winced in pain, my body aching and fatigued from running on my newfound power for an unknown duration. Despite my strength, I knew it had its limits. As I drove the car with my throbbing hands, the sight of the house loomed before me. It was difficult to drive with these twisted aching limbs car; The wheel felt so heavy and the steering was painful, but my power gave me enough boost to get through it.
I parked the car in the secluded backside of the house, relieved to find it empty, alleviating any fears about encountering someone inside. I was in no mood to explain myself to anyone or get any attention on me. Something drove me to seek solace and shelter, to be myself, something that had woken up inside me, a bunch of instincts, I guess.
Entering the house and making my way to the wing, my mind shifted into medical mode. The first order of business was a thorough full-body scan, followed by a dose of antibiotics to combat the relentless fever that had plagued me for days. That damn AI had wreaked havoc on my system and it was working as it should. My immune defense was down. My organs would not function as they should. So I should then think about what needs to be done after that scan.
The hours and days, maybe even weeks spent trapped in that hellhole, had taken a toll on my well-being, and I was uncertain of how much longer I could endure before succumbing to sepsis. There was a limit on my powers and my body, too. But I was determined to help myself, aware that my newfound power was a precious resource that had already been depleted significantly.
However, my attempts to unleash my rage were futile. It seemed that the drugs they had administered before my escape had hindered my ability to tap into that fury. Nevertheless, I could still cause damage. It would take time for me to get to my rage, but then it would be one more resource for me to use. I would be fine, eventually. I knew that Adam and Charles were dealing with another Mimosa's heat and Mirella was part of it.
Suddenly, the sound of the wing door creaking open made me instinctively cover my hands. I had no idea who the hell was in the house. It had been Adam or Charles because no one else had access to wings. I had successfully cannulated myself; the needle piercing my heart, and was about to administer the potent antibiotic Mirella when Damon entered the medbay. I was surprised, a little wary, as I did not know how the hell he had gotten access and I was too weak. Maybe he might see me as the victim of the session, so I needed to try to be strong.
Damon appeared different from when I last saw him in the shed. He exuded a sense of freedom, yet his doctor persona was clear. He clinically assessed my condition, but his gaze revealed nothing more. He was not in the mood for the session, not at all. It was like that side of him was gone, something in his expression had been changed, and that evil was gone.
It was imperative that I conceal my weakened state as much as possible, so I summoned more of my fading power to appear somewhat invigorated. Something inside me urged me to hide my vulnerability even further. My instincts took over almost, and I had to keep myself still, not to run away.
He spoke, his voice a blend of soothing reassurance and authoritative command, "Whose doing is it you're self-medicating, young lady? Do you remember who handles your medical care? Don't worry, I'll take charge now. I know you were at the Medical facility; you can relax. I'll handle everything. You're perfectly safe."
Damon approached me slowly, his words intended to pacify me. "Come on, baby, take it easy, just relax..."
I mustered the strength to respond, "Mirella's antibiotics; I've been battling a debilitating fever for days, and the threat of sepsis looms. It's the strongest remedy she has provided. I do not know how long my powers will keep me going. There is a scan result if you want to look."
In a forceful motion, Damon ripped the drip bag from the rack and simultaneously yanked the cannula out of my heart. The pain was intense, but I remained stoic, refusing to show any sign of weakness.
He said, his voice filled with a sinister tone, "Mirella is evil. She was behind your superinfection. Trust me, baby. I will get that scan soon enough."
The words hung in the air, sending a chill down my spine. As he wrapped his hand around my shoulders, I could feel the weight of his touch. He saw my weakness as he leaned more to support me and took sheets off my hands, seeing them.
"Now calm down; it's nothing to worry about," he reassured me. The room was brightly lit, and the smell of antiseptic hung in the air mixing with his pure pungent passionfruit. He guided me towards the bed, its soft sheets beckoning me to rest. Damon appeared by my side, his presence comforting as he gently brushed my hair away. A sudden flinch escaped me, causing his eyebrows to furrow in concern. Without hesitation, he pulled me into a tight embrace. Darkness engulfed me as Damon slipped on a Magnum ring, its presence unknown to me.
As Mimi limped in his grip, with her spinal cord severed, he laid her to bed and put restraints just in case. He needed to be cautious now, unaware of Mimi's newfound abilities. Damon tasted Mimi's blood, his lips lingering on the bittersweet taste. Her blood tasted as wrong as possible. With his magical powers, he crafted a potent antibiotic concentrate. In a desperate act, he severed her hands, using his magic to regenerate them anew.
The vampire marriage mark remained, a constant reminder of their bond. Damon gazed at his palm, where the mark had vanished, unsure of how to process this revelation. Did it signify their relationship's demise?
He shifted into doctor mode, dedicating himself to Mimi's recovery. He operated on her, replacing her damaged organs, and filled her with bump and nutritional feeding concentration. For weeks, she lay in a slumber, under his care, gradually getting better. He kept her first in a deep sleep, not in the incubator as her fever raged despite his powerful fever medication. It took time for his antibiotic to overcome that infection and he tried to keep her in some shape, but she was quite damn thin and weak.
Damon sensed they stood at a crossroads, uncertain of where their journey would lead. As time passed, he discovered his newfound abilities, becoming both a wizard and an energy being. His senses expanded, allowing him to perceive and shape energies around him. No longer reliant on sustenance, he could absorb energy from any source.
Yet, there was a downside. His being overflowed with a deep, purple lust energy, turning him into a creature driven by desire. It was overwhelming, like being trapped in a relentless cycle. When the infection finally cleared and Mimi's health stabilized, Damon fulfilled his duty. He left her to rest, knowing that Charles would eventually arrive to care for her. Her recovery would take time and she would be weak at first, but she would get better. It would be Charles who would reveal everything to Mimi, the truth of their ordeal.
