Chapter 226 - 25. Who Knew?

Adam met me and directed me to my bridal suite. This is where I would be before the wedding, and here I would be dressed. Once we were married, Damon would then help me with the other day's clothes and so on.

The first thing I did was eat. I had to eat. I don't actually feel hungry. Mimosa does, and Damon and Samuel have been studying this for some time now. Even Mimosa's hunger doesn't come through to me, and she is too kind to say all the time if she is hungry. And when she can be on the loose for 12 hours, at least, she always eats when she is free, given the opportunity.

Damon said he has one surgery in mind, but it will have to wait for a better time. Apparently, all the drug trials or some initial tests damaged my stomach nerves, so I didn't feel hungry. And all the blows I got in my stomach at the gigs, so I have no nerves in my stomach to feel hunger. If I get a stomach transplant, my body will make it mine and defective. I literally have nerve damage in my stomach.

Combine that with my super busy metabolism. Well, no wonder my weight is always a little underwhelming at times. I had now learned over the last six months to set myself meal times, so at least then I get to eat relatively regularly. But if I'm on a gig or focused on a job, then my meal times stretch.

Then I might wonder, frankly, how miserable I feel before I realize that I'm fainting because of low blood sugar and should eat a bit more diligently. One way was to reserve a snack for my desk, but as I'm such a peculiar creature, there aren't many snacking treats in the shops for me, but I should make them myself then.

I went to eat eagerly; I knew that the dress was going to be cinched over me so that on the wedding day, there would be no opportunity to stuff myself as full as I could, but the menu was carefully laid out so that most of it would suit me too. And the ones that wouldn't would not even be served.

It's nice to find that the best meat that absorbs me is the most expensive wagyu beef in the world. It's the best for me, according to Damon, and therefore forms the main part of my diet. Not that I don't sometimes slip up and slip up well. I still taste just fine, and there are other good foods that I indulge myself with from time to time, even though they are not good for me.

And Salvatore and Samuel preach about it. But as I am not supposed to eat carbohydrates, but I do, Damon has at least once replaced my intestines because of the constipation they cause and the unnecessary strain on my intestines when they don't digest properly. But life has to have its pleasures, and food is one of them; baking is one of them. What can I do with myself if, when I bake, I eat a bit of everything I make?

Samuel came into the room after I'd eaten and said, " Here's a bottle, and you drink this. This is Damon's dentifrice cocktail, and we suspect you're not eating the way you should, so this should prevent bowel obstruction, help break down the mass in your gut, and get it out; this then makes you thirsty, so you drink cola, and as much as you like."

I looked at the bottle for a moment and said, " So that's a laxative of some sort?"

Samuel said, " Yes and no, this will chop it up a bit to soften the pulp, help it come out, but won't interfere with the absorption of the meat. I'll check back in the morning. I'll feel you out and see if it worked. Damon's instructions."

I nodded and picked up a half-liter bottle, opened it, and started drinking. It tasted like a combination of vinegar and passionfruit and peas, but I got it down, and then, yes, I wanted to rinse my mouth with Coca-Cola. Samuel left when he saw me drink, and an hour later, I emptied myself.

I drank like crazy as I felt like I was always thirsty, and then the shit was pouring out. I noticed for myself how much stuff I had in my gut, and it helped, by the way, when I got to empty myself. My output didn't even smell normal; it was really indigestible, so it was a clear sign to me that those tasty carbohydrates weren't just breaking down inside me.

But it probably wouldn't stop me from eating them for long; I had just had a solution on how to empty myself, so it wouldn't hurt if I had a few now and then.

The wedding was exciting. I also knew Bran would give me away, and even though I was still pretty pissed at Bran for the entire visit and the fucking foreign pack, it had been a while, and I couldn't hold a grudge. Or I mean, I could keep my head on straight. And maybe this was Damon's little poke at Bran when he had to give me away and couldn't make me a mate and get his status better. I didn't know.

I watched movies for the rest of the day. Adam went over some things with me as it was late at night, and he said he would have slept with me otherwise, but Salvatore hadn't given permission. Fine, then I didn't sleep.

I told Adam about the new guns, how wonderful the new types there were, bullets and all, and I hadn't had enough time to test them. There were many experimental new types of guns, and then I bragged about my shooting range in Monaco and the obstacle course, too, and how Magnum had done it for me.

He looked at me for a moment and said, " Maybe I or Damon should look into it. Your multiplication enzyme is now a new thing to consider, and if there are any devices or obstacles that might cause too hard a blow before it is looked into, but you have a wedding and then a honeymoon, I might have time to look into it. "

I nodded, and Adam said, " And I'll look at the guns too, what I'm leaving you and what's going into the safe."

He was talking about some work stuff, and when I told him about the German job and how I hadn't saved those people.

He looked at me and said, "When you just have to learn that you can't save everyone and there's no point in always blaming yourself, I could disprove your whole theory in the blink of an eye every time you come up with a reason it's your fault. This is one of your biggest problems: you want to, you always dig yourself up, you always find a reason to blame yourself when that's not how life works. "

I sighed and said, "I am. I can't help myself because I have this feeling that I've got these powers for a reason, and it's to save them, but I can't always do it. "

Adam looked at me for a moment and said, " You're still young, so very young, and you'll learn; it's difficult, and it's not fun, but life teaches you. But now, honey, try to get into the wedding mood and be prepared to be the bride."

I smiled and then concentrated on thinking about our wedding and all the hubbub that would come with it.

What Adam had told me then made me sigh with excitement and anticipation. Our first wedding at the registry office had been so easy, but I remember the painful anticipation when we were so ready to do something other than sit in our seats. I also remember the couples there and wondered in amusement if everyone was still married.

The ceremony would be done as early as 9 am, so there would be time to socialize and eat as long as possible. We would then retire again at 9 pm for the wedding night. The days were thus split in half: 12 hours of celebration and 12 hours of wedding night for three days. Let's see what all is booked and what my wedding dress would look like.

Adam had also told me that the ladies who were going to get me ready were Damon's ex-girlfriends; the vampire lord had compelled them to do certain things, and I would be quite safe. This was as Damon as they come and might be the vampire side at least, but I wasn't sure if it was the darling side or the same vampire side as the vampire side at our vampire wedding. But he knew how to mess with whoever he wanted.

I wondered at 5 am when I was in the preparatory bath whether Salvatore was, how shall we say, eager, so that he could wait until even 9 pm. If I were to prepare myself, I certainly wouldn't wait. But I see if I'm in for another heat. Wow, it could be a wild honeymoon. I wouldn't have to leave the hotel or the castle, for that matter. I wonder if that's why I have such wild ideas, or if it's just because I know exactly who I'm getting. Or maybe it was the fact that I was in need again, being a sex beast and all.

As I was drying myself off, the help arrived. Samuel and 12 vampire women made me sit down in a bathrobe, and Samuel injected me with the dentifrice Damon had given him. He felt me up, grunted, satisfied, and left.

Oh, my hair grew down to my lower back and was in big curls and dark blood red. Similarly, my nails had grown considerably and were the same shade. I watched as the women could do nothing but obey whatever Damon had told them to do.

The women did my hair, and some came in front of me and did my make-up. They told me how my gorgeous husband was so caring that he had gone through every makeup to make sure it was right for me. I was given strong smokey eye makeup. It made my enormous dark blue eyes look mysterious and inviting, almost black and cat-like. I was powdered and had a bunch of stuff put on my skin.

I needed a little mascara as Damon's dental solution had grown me long and very thick lashes, too; they shaped my eyebrows and reddened my lips, making them look a little more kissable. My cheekbones were delicately highlighted, casting a soft glow on my face and making me look more mature and sophisticated.

With an almost haughty expression and a vampy allure, my make-up was so skillfully applied that it enhanced my smile, making it truly beautiful. The fragrance of the spray of lacquer used to set my hair filled the air, mingling with the sound of the tools used to control my curls. My hair was expertly styled, pulled up in a chic bun that allowed my neck to be elegantly exposed and accentuated.

Makeup and hair done. Now, the ladies lifted me to my feet, and the robe was off. The women looked at my body, my ribs showing, my narrow waist, and my small breasts. I was oiled with something passionfruit scented from the neck down and put on underwear and lace panties, and there I was. They said my breasts didn't need a bra, and they wouldn't go with a dress. I wasn't wearing pantyhose or any socks at all.

The dress was a vision. Its pristine white fabric flowed from my neckline, gradually transitioning into a delicate blush hue as it cascaded towards the hem. The rich, dark blood red at the bottom created a striking contrast, accentuated by a wide princess hem that exuded elegance. As I gazed at it in awe, I marveled at how flawlessly it draped over my body.

Embedded within the dress, the straps shimmered with the radiance of countless diamonds. I couldn't fathom their worth, nor did I care. The allure of the gown was undeniable, its tight cinching emphasizing my slim figure. Gone were the days of feeling too skinny; at 52 kilos, I deemed my weight acceptable. Although Damon and Samuel preferred it to begin with a '6', I was content with this.

The top of the dress boasted a delicate fusion of lace and silk, its skin-tight fit cleverly designed to conceal the prominence of my rib bones. The dress accentuated my bosom, empowering me with a sense of femininity. The women who helped me fasten it reveled in their ability to shape my body, the dress acting as a cleverly crafted corset that allowed me to breathe, albeit tightly.

Adorning the fabric were gold chains, gracefully traversing from the shoulders along the wide neckline, culminating at the hem. As I slipped into the dress, it clung to my skin like a second layer, its presence enhancing my physique. The hem gracefully brushed against my ankles, veiling my legs entirely.

And then came the shoes. High heels in a deep shade of red awaited me. Gleaming with genuine diamonds, they captured the light, illuminating my every step. It was as if they were custom made for me, possibly from De La Renta's luxury collection. I hadn't purchased them myself.

The heels were astonishingly tall, propelling me to almost Damon's height. I knew I had to be cautious with my alcohol intake, as the werewolves and vampires at this wedding would indulge in potent beverages. There would be extra strong wine and champagne in the offering, letting all supernatural get some buzz.

I didn't want it to go to my head. Though I had never truly experienced drunkenness, I was uncertain about my tolerance level. If I allowed myself to become tipsy, I might struggle to maintain my balance. The heels towered at 15-20 cm, almost rivaling Damon's stature.

He'd better let his hands wander now, though. I knew the dress made it impossible to explore at least the top, but my bottom was quite free, with only a very generous hem covering access to El Dorado. The butterflies in my stomach multiplied as I looked at myself.

My appearance was unrecognizable to me; some might even say I looked beautiful, and they skillfully masked my untamed expression, transforming me into a haughty figure. Well, that was also an improvement.

Everything was ready. A tiara was attached to my hair. The same one I had gotten in our vampire wedding, and the red veil was let down. The veil covered my haughty expression, making me look mysterious. A pendant was put around my neck, with one large ruby, heart-shaped.

I looked at myself. Wow, I'm a bride, I really am. Our first wedding had been a special ritual done somewhere in Transylvania where Damon had to take me on the wedding night while the Elders watched, and other vampire rituals. They had been vampire weddings. We had gotten married before that, just in front of a judge with a couple of secretaries as witnesses. It didn't bother me then.

I knew we'd go down the spiral staircase, and Bran would escort me. I got the wedding bouquet in my hand, and it was pink roses, peonies, passionfruit flowers, pink baby's breath, and orchids. I then couldn't hold on to the railing and hoped I could just get down the spiral staircase with Bran supporting me.

I prepared to go down, and in the hallway, Bran was waiting. He would give me away. Adam had been Damon's Best Man, and although I had had no wild hen parties now, I also didn't know if Damon had had any bachelor parties of his own. The walk with shoes went well, although I was a little hesitant. I walked up to Bran and took him by the arm.

Bran said, "You are a sight for sore eyes. I hope Damon knows what he's getting this time. I'm really sorry about your miscarriage; I didn't intend to hurt you."

I said nothing back as I concentrated on being a bride and just smiled. I still didn't think I was beautiful. I was just special. The music started, and we started walking down the stairs. I leaned on Bran, going down the slippery marble steps at a dignified pace as befits a bride.

The banister was decorated with flowering vines. The downstairs was gorgeously laid out, with flowers everywhere, everything just perfect. Damon was a stunning revelation. He looked at me as I came down with such a smug, deceptive look, just the kind that halfway down, I was reminded of the many rooms in the castle and whether anyone would notice if the wedding couple disappeared for a moment.

Damon was ready. He hadn't really understood at first why he'd been having strange dreams about a sandy beach and a talking cat, but something in those dreams had given him the idea of how to have this wedding.

It had happened after he had woken up in Missouri, and he did not know what had happened. He remembered being at a gig, and they came home; he went to read those enzyme papers of Mimi's, and then weeks later, he was in a completely different place.

The dreams had shown him the way to get the volcano inside him to calm down and keep him in control. He had then prepared everything, and he was looking forward to this wedding and especially the honeymoon.

The honeymoon would be in two parts: first, he would take Mimi to one place and do some things there, and then they would go to an island in paradise for a few weeks at least. He felt a little bulge up his sleeve; everything was ready, and no one would know a thing.

Somehow, he knew this was going to work, and even if it were a wedding she wouldn't understand, she would take it in stride. He wore a black tuxedo, gold embroidery, and signet rings, and he waited as the music played; he watched Bran and Mimi descend the stairs perfectly, just as he had dreamed.

We arrived downstairs, and Bran escorted me over to Damon, who took my hand as we listened to the priest speak. The priest was an older man, dressed in formal clothes, and it occurred to me I didn't actually know what church this was from as I wasn't sure what church I had been put in.

I looked into Damon's ice-blue eyes. He looked gorgeous in his tuxedo, and again, there was none of that boyish playfulness that his eyes sometimes have. This was, again, a very strong old creature beside me and very impressive. I could feel his aura surrounding me.

The hall was full of wedding guests, and benches had been brought in with large magnificent floral arrangements adorning the tables; the entire castle had been washed and spruced up, probably repaired in some places, and I would like to explore and observe the castle after we had gone through this ceremony.

The priest began in the traditional way, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join these two in holy matrimony.."
