Liang frowned, glancing down at his body, which seemed to shimmer slightly, almost translucent. A thought nagged at him as he noted the two figures nearby, watching him with keen interest.
"Is it possible that the longer I stay here, the weaker my bloodline source becomes?" Liang asked, concern lacing his voice.
The two figures exchanged surprised glances, clearly taken aback by how quickly Liang had grasped the situation.
"That's correct," the avian figure nodded, seeing little reason to conceal the truth. "You exist here in your bloodline source form. The power sustaining you is drawn from that very source."
Hearing this, Liang's expression darkened. Each moment spent here was depleting his bloodline source, which he had no idea how to replenish.
