The news that two individuals possessed a high-grade elemental root, equivalent to a Class A unique ability, came as a shock to everyone present. However, it was more surprising that Daksh, who was a top student in hand-to-hand combat and physical activity, did not awaken a higher grade of unique ability.
Professor Grever was particularly taken aback by Carter's exceptional results. He had assumed that Carter's academic performance was unremarkable and that he would not amount to much. In contrast, Daksh had performed well academically, but Professor Grever had low expectations of him due to his association with someone like Carter. Additionally, Daksh came from a humble background and was considered a poor bloke.
The last batch of students when to the stage.
Daksh nudged Carter, who was beside him. "Man, congratulations! You're going to be famous soon. Don't forget about your weak friend and Yukari," he said.
Carter smiled and replied, "Yeah, don't worry. I never forget my friends. But aren't you belittling yourself?"
Yukari rolled her eyes at Carter and said, "Yeah, don't worry."
"Did you also dream of something during your awakening?" Daksh asked.
"Yes, I did," replied Yukari. "I don't remember it properly, but it was related to my unique ability. I was surrounded by monsters while I was within a force field of some kind."
"I didn't dream of anything," said Carter.
As the trio conversed, a man in a lab suit approached them and stated, "Hello, I am here to record your basic stats after your awakening." He handed each of them a simple silver bracelet adorned with seven small gems of different colours.
As soon as they wore the bracelet, their mobile phones started to vibrate. All took out their mobile phones from their pockets
On the screen, it showed " Initializing… OK"

Daksh scratched his head and said, "It seems like mine will take some more time." Everyone noticed his mobile phone, which was a generic 5-year-old model with limited features. In contrast, Yukari and Carter had wristwatch phones with holographic screens, which were the latest technology.
A huge cheer was heard from the awakening stage.
When all of them looked over, at the monitor. There a name was shining in gold which was similar to Carter and Yukari.

After the completion of the awakening ceremony for the last batch of students, Principal Vasquez stood on the podium and began to address the audience. "This ceremony was quite remarkable," he said. "We have four students with high-grade elemental roots, 5 with mid-grade elemental roots, and 7 with low-grade elemental roots. We also have three students with Class A unique abilities, 4 with Class B unique abilities, 7 with Class C unique abilities, 11 with Class D unique abilities, 12 with Class E unique abilities, and 15 with Class F unique abilities, out of around 300 students. The principal continued, " Currently, you have only awakened 20% of your power. Tomorrow onwards, various army, sect and schools will send their dignitaries. You will know, what I mean by this. You will be asked to join any such organisation. Where they will nurture you. But before that, they will be providing you with training and a basic understanding of your unique skills and over the period of this month you will completely awaken your abilities.
After a month of this, you will be tested. If you are worth their effort. Each such organisation focuses on a specific type of cultivation. Do not worry tomorrow everything will be clear. Now, all of you have been given a bracelet, which is the most basic type of equipment to monitor your status before you fully awaken your ability. Listening to this Daksh was surprised as he would not have to work every day at the construction company for some extra cash. As they had provided him with around twice his monthly allowance one go.
"The money will be transferred soon into your accounts, so do not worry. Now you all can leave too" said the principal.
Soon, Daksh entered his classroom to gather his thing before going home.
A Taunting voice was heard " Hey isn't this our class's genius with the best close-quarter combat record while being good at academics".
