Chapter 118 - Episode 23- A Talk About the Past

Once those words came out of her mouth, Illayaka quickly sat up on the bed, shifting her gaze to the bed that her parents were lying on. The barrier they were in was transparent so she could see her parents cuddling on the bed. It was something that she was embarrassed to see since they weren't doing anything.

However, the thoughts of her sister's question reappeared in her thoughts—causing her to think about the question.

Should I tell her…. No, I should tell them eventually because we are a family, and this is going to have a big effect on me if I keep it a secret. I feel like once I tell my secret then we will be able to get closer. Illayaka thought, But I'm going to have to tell her when our parents are awake.

With those thoughts, Illayaka turned her hand towards her sister, and laid down beside her, grabbing her hand—and smiled brightly.

"I will tell you tomorrow since Mama will have to hear what I have to say. I haven't told her yet, so she needs to know."

"...Ok, I understand."

That was the end of their conversation—and the two little girls lay beside each other, falling asleep while they were holding hands.

It was late at night, so staying up would make them sleep longer the next day. Although they didn't have to sleep, they chose to go to sleep because most of the time they used magic spells to make their sleep schedule like that of a normal human, and since for most humans, the longer they stayed up, the longer they slept the next day. Since they didn't want to sleep all day the next day—they fell asleep feeling the warmth of each other's hands.

The next morning, Illayaka and Illya woke up to a delightful smell that filled the entire room, and they instantly sat up on the bed, looking around the room.

And the first thing that came into their sight was their mother and father, wearing aprons and cooking food for breakfast. They were enhancing their senses to see what their parents were doing, after all, Tenka and Shito were in the kitchen. The hotel rooms were nothing like a normal hotel room—you could even say the hotel rooms in the building were more like apartment rooms since they had a kitchen and a bathroom, but only one room was present.

Once they confirmed that their parents were finished cooking, they got up out of their bed and ran towards the kitchen.

When they arrived in the kitchen, they noticed that there was too much food for the four of them to eat. But they intuitively knew that the extra food was for Lucia and the others.

I promised my sister that I would tell her about my past, Illayaka thought. Well, I should go ahead and tell them before the others show up. I know for sure that Father hasn't called them yet so this would be the best time for me to do that.

After thinking about it for a little while, she sat down in a chair that was beside her. Illayaka was determined to tell the others about her past—since her father already knew of her past, she had to tell her mother and sister.

In her mind, she was thinking, Once I tell them about my past then… I feel like we can grow closer as a family.

"Can you have a seat at the table please, I want to tell you all something before you call everyone else to eat." Illayaka raised her hand and put a barrier over the food—it was a barrier that kept the food warm. "I am keeping the food warm so it won't get cold, but the thing I am about to tell you all is important, so would you all please listen?"

Tenka's gaze shifted from the plates in her hands to her daughter who was sitting at the table, and she quickly placed the plates on the table as directed. "What do you want to talk about? From the tone of your voice, it seems like you are serious about this question, now go ahead and say what you need to say because I am here to listen to you."

Illya and Shito sat down in the seats as their gaze was firmly placed on Illayaka, waiting to hear what she had to say—although Shito knew what she was going to say, but he decided to act like he did not know about anything.

"...."

Silence rained on the area for a brief moment before Illayaka suddenly took a deep breath and looked up at her family.

"I am going to put this briefly and avoid stretching this conversation out," Illayaka continued. "I was once an adult that lived in a different world. A world that isn't this one. So, to put it simply I have reincarnated."

Tenka looked at her daughter tilting her head. "Ok… That's good to know…"

"Is that all you have to say, Mama," she asked visibly confused. "I just told you that I was a reincarnated person, and you don't want to talk about it."

"I mean what more do we really need to know," Tenka went on. "You are our daughter now so the past really doesn't matter, and since you are our child… there is no reason to be shocked since you still act like a child."

Shito clapped his hands, sending a shockwave throughout the room—it wasn't something that could kill someone, or he didn't put enough pressure to shake the world. However, the pressure was strong enough to get the attention of everyone in the room. With just a clap of his hands... He wasn't mad, nor did he want to interrupt the conversation with malice. However, it was about twelve o'clock in the afternoon, so he had to call everyone to tell them to come to eat. After all, he was sure that none of them had eaten breakfast yet.

But suddenly a transparent screen appeared in front of Shito's face and Lucia came into view of the screen. She was looking at him with a smile on her face and her eyes were beaming.

"What did you call me for did something happen?" Lucia asked, "I haven't done anything interesting in a while so what could possibly have happened? Do you need my he—..."

"No, I need you all to come down here and eat the food that I and Tenka fixed for you all so you all can come down here now," Shito said. "And make sure to hurry before the food gets cold."

Saying those words, he immediately disconnected his screen and turned toward his daughters who were sitting in front of him. One of his daughters had beautiful bright had two beautiful bright dark blue stars in her eyes, with her overall eye color having various different colors, Illya Mahinu, the witch of the dark star was a mage that could create her own worlds. The other was Illayaka Mahinu, who had a dark blue and purple streak flowing through her glossy straight hair—into a long ponytail that flowed past her waist by a large margin. Illayaka hair was the same color as their father's, and they had the same multicolored eyes as their mother.

In an instant, three girls arrived in the center of the kitchen. One was Lucia and she locked her energy on Shito so she could instantly teleport in front of him. Another was Lilith and she was smiling brightly at all the food that was present at the table. Food varied into different categories, so things like chicken, salad, and other things like that were present. One could say it was a feast of sorts that was made by Tenka and Shito all morning. The last person who was present was Alice Mahinu, and she was the niece of Shito and daughter of The Witch of Eternal Creation, Sara Mahinu. She was happy to have lunch with her family and friends although she wished her mother was there with them.

I want to eat with my mother… I haven't been her daughter for too long, so we haven't had enough time to spend together and tal—...!

But before she could finish thinking a hand was placed on her shoulder. Surprised by the sudden hand on her shoulder, she turned her hand and saw her mother standing directly beside her. A woman with a solid white dress, with long, brown hair that was straight as could be, almost like it was being held down by an invisible force, and she had a radiant smile. She was wearing white robes that complemented her otherworldly brother.

"M-Mother…"

Sara looked towards her daughter, and she hugged her tightly. "Hello, my daughter, I had a feeling that you were calling for me, so I came as fast as possible."

As she said that, she patted her daughter on the head lovingly before bluntly asking, "What do you call me here for? And don't try to use any excuse because I want to know your true feelings."

Hearing her mother's words, Alice leaned closer to her mother's to whisper in her ear. "I… I want to eat lunch with your mother. Will you be willing to eat lunch with us?"

"Of course…" Sara trailed off, before continuing. "I would love to eat breakfast with you all. You are my daughter, and he is my brother, so we are a family."

Shito looked at her sister with his expressionless face. "You sure are fast sister. To think you ran all the way here from the school."

Sara walked towards one of the open seats and looked at her brother with a smile on her face as she started using her mana to lift some of them on the table placing it on a plate that was on the table.

"How did you know that I ran here?" Sara asked, "Never mind… that isn't a question you have to answer."

"Ok then… Well, let us go ahead and eat the food is getting cold."

"Ok!" everyone shouted hearing what he said.

With that, everyone started to use mana to lift various different foods so they could eat. Not much could be said since they were already having enough fun, and talking about things that weren't really important. They smiled brightly and had fun having their breakfast together.
