With Nova's readiness confirmed and her standby mode for Slowdown engaged, Hiro took a moment to prepare himself.
He returned his Double Plasma Blasters back into their holster and rubbed his hands together in anticipation, his focus narrowing to the three patrol soldiers displayed as his targets on his heads-up display.
His heart pounded with adrenaline as he muttered to himself, "Let's do this."
Without hesitation, Hiro dashed from his concealed vantage point, his sudden movement grabbing the full attention of the patrol soldiers. In an instant, they turned their weapons toward him and unleashed a barrage of laser beams.
