Chapter 32 - Helpless

As our breakfast drew to a close, an ominous silence settled between us. I gazed at her intently, my voice trembling as I broke the silence.

"We have to go now...!" I urged, my voice laced with a sense of urgency.

She narrowed her eyes suspiciously, her tone dismissive. "Whatever," she replied coldly.

Leading her towards the waiting car, my heart raced with anticipation. A driver had been arranged to take us to the forbidding Vampire castle—a journey into the unknown.

The drive stretched on, the passing scenery a blur. Despite her distant demeanor, I relished the proximity to her, even as a chill seemed to permeate the air.

"You smell delicious," I remarked, unable to suppress the forbidden desire coursing through my veins.

Attempting to feign indifference, she betrayed a mix of emotions—confusion, fear, and anger. Yet, I also sensed a hint of curiosity, intrigue, and undeniable attraction.
