Chapter 9 - Chapter 1 Part 8

The boy walked further and further up the stairs, until he reached the land mass. The moment he reached the land mass, he felt as if he could float any moment, he felt like he had achieved complete freedom. The land mass, as he got closer, was translucent and he saw someone. It was another mage. There were mages everywhere, who guarded the Kingdom, however the mages he met the day before and this mage had a different aura, especially this one.

This mage had Black and White hair, and also had gray eyes like the boy. The mage looked at the boy, and then sighed lazily. Then the mage asked, "Hey, what are you doing here? You know that this place isn't really meant for people to walk into." The mage was right, the boy had entered the land mass that was forbidden to enter, though the reason why it was forbidden was never told. The mage added, "It's rather surprising that you managed to get up here, most people aren't capable of even seeing the stairs to up here."

The boy was too mentally broken to question anything, so he simply replied, "I'd rather be surprised by the fact that people are too stupid to be able to realize that the fact that there's floating stairs leading to a huge floating landmass that's translucent and looks like it came straight from heaven literally in the middle of the park." The mage simply replied, "Well most people aren't capable of seeing the true side of this structure in general; you have to have the capabilities of even interacting with this kind of existence," however, he didn't seem surprised by the fact the boy was capable of seeing the stairway at all.

Then, the mage asked, "Perhaps, do you know how to use Magic?" The boy's eyes widened, and he snapped and yelled, "I don't know magic! Don't you dare ask that question to me, TO ME!" The mage stared at the boy for a couple of seconds, and sighed again. He then explained, "Welp, you might as well explore this place while you can right now. From what I see, you're here because you've been completely torn apart by the madness. However, you need to learn to let go, when things pile up, they'll get back to you." The boy was hearing echoes in his mind. Then the mage added, "I'll guarantee though, you won't find enough here, what you're dealing with is something way far from something like this. I think I'll be seeing you somewhere again," and before the boy knew it, the mage had simply disappeared.
