I open my eyes, and I am in a different place again. I looked around and heard waves of laughter from women bathing at the falls. The breeze was blowing cold, and I could smell the fragrance of the fresh flowers. I followed the waves of laughter and saw fairies bathing in the falls. One is Cythera, and I don't know the other, but she looks familiar. They looked at me, pretended not to look at me and continued what they were doing even though they knew I saw me already hiding behind the tree, watching them bathe.
"The majesty is here!" The man shouted, and the fairies hurried to get out of the water when they heard the man calling the others.
They immediately wore their clothes, and Cythera glanced at me before she ran with her fairy friend. They hide, but the man and the others found them. They dragged the two and threw the two fairies on the soil, which made their clothes dirty.
"Please! Please take me and spare the princess", The other fairy said while kneeling in front of the man and embracing his leg.
"Let the princess live, please, " she begged, touching my heart. Their genuine friendship inspired me to help them, but I didn't make a move because it was not yet time.
"Alpha", I heard Cythera call the other fairy, and her name is Alpha.
"Don't beg them?" She said she tried to pull Alpha away from the man, but Alpha didn't listen because she wanted mercy from the men who would kill the princess.
"Yes, don't beg us," The man said, and he kicked Alpha away.
"Alpha!" Cythera shouted and went to her friend.
"Take the princess", The man ordered to others.
They are about to take Cythera, but Alpha tries to stop them by blocking their way to the princess, but the men don't show mercy. They stab the poor fairy to death.
"Alpha!!!" Cythera cried and closed her fist.
"Wake up, " she whispered, but her friend, bleeding to death, was not moving anymore.
The men grabbed her and tore her wings, making the poor fairy scream. She tries to fight them but is only a sweet and calm fairy versus those barbaric and wild men. I decided to show myself and fight the men to save the fairy I didn't know. Their spare and sword was nothing on me. I killed half of them and decided to carry Cythera away from them. I ran while carrying Cythera, but they followed us with their horses. One arrow was released, but it missed me. Until we got cornered because we are the edge of the forest, and behind us was a cliff. I put the fairy down, hid her behind me, and faced the men after us.
"What do you want about the fairy?" I asked the leader.
"The King ordered to kill her."
"The king? why?" I asked because I couldn't believe the father could kill his daughter.
"He is not my real father. He is a conqueror who stole our land and took over my father's throne. When he succeeds in killing him."
I clenched my teeth when I heard the reason that made me angry. I fought them when they started to attack again because they were eager to get and kill the fairy princess, but I will not allow them. I fought, but the king's army was strong, and they were still plenty, even though I had already killed half of them.
They were too many for just arresting one fairy. I looked at the fairy, and I knew she was not dangerous to be arrested by the bunch of armies. What's with her that I didn't know?
I fought until we fell to the cliff. I tried to pull her close to me to protect her before our bodies touched the ground. If only she could spread her wings and fly, but she couldn't because she was wounded and bleeding.
I fell, and I am in another place. I am wearing a cloak now, and the foxes were pulling me to kneel on the king, but I don't want. The handsome king with an evil heart is now sitting before me. He stole my father's throne and killed my mother. I looked around, and my fellow foxes wanted me to die. I don't know their reasons, but everything changes when the evil king enters our peaceful home. The foxes I once treated as friends and brothers suddenly turned their back on me and wanted me dead.
"Bow your head, and I will spare you, be my slave, and you will live," He said while looking at me.
"No," I told him while looking straight into his eyes which insulted him and made him angry. He never expects my answer.
The king that once pretended as a beggar that was helped by my kind mother to get inside our kingdom killed my father and the queen who helped her. Now owning everything he steals, including the foxes' kindness and peaceful hearts, I will not let him succeed. I will not let him conquer me as well.
I grabbed one of the foxes' swords, bravely pointed it at him while staring at him, and commanded him to let go of my kingdom because the Nightingale was not for him. I want peace and happiness to restore in Nightingale and hear the birds sing again, but he just laughed at me and called me 'ambitious' because the kingdom he stole will never be mine again.
"Kill him" He ordered my kind to kill me, and they immediately followed.
I fight them, and I stab the king with the sword I am holding when I see a chance, and with his eyes wide open, he looks at me and chants, "You will grow ugly and scary. You will live like a beast and stay in the dark. You will be anyone's shadow" Then I heard whispers from the birds who turned black and dark.
I dropped the sword and ran away from my castle, but the foxes never spared me. They followed me because they were following the order to kill me, and then from running, I could feel my body growing, and my nails got longer and shaper. My teeth grow longer and sharper, too, and instead of barking, I haul. What is that evil king doing to me? He cursed me, and it worked because he used the wishing Nightingale, but they turned them into a cursing nightingale. The indian foxes are now the night foxes because of the king, which changes everything in his favor. I clenched my teeth because of anger. I wanted to return but would be killed if I returned because everything had changed, and is not time to bring everything back to normal. My kind doesn't know me anymore, and the birds cursed me. I am on my own now and need to think of a plan to regain my kingdom.
I went to the falls and tried to hide because they kept following me, and I saw a fairy bathing under the bright moon.
"It's you", She said without looking at me as if she knew me.
"Come here, and I will hide you", She whispered, and I didn't think twice because the indian foxes were near now. I ran to her, and she told me to touch her, and I did what she said.
Immediately my body and her body joined together after she whispered something that made us one, and I realized that she was the fairy that once I helped, and she helped me in return. She hides me inside of her, and she is Cythera, and falling on the cliff makes her blind because of the cruel, selfish king who stole our kingdom.
