Chapter 34 - The True Divide

'There, the spies,' Z thought. 'I would have been shocked if The World Force had no eyes on this situation.'

From one of the pillars of Arcane, an enticing woman came out. She had a long black tail and hair that were both tensed from anger. Her pink eyes were burning in anger, enough for them to look red, as she glared at the two representatives of The Integrals while flying toward them.

"It seems like you are severely underestimating the power of The World Force!" she said while exuding a torrential burst of Arcane that suffocated those around her.

This display of power, however, did not faze the old man and the child in the slightest. With his still old and calm demeanor, the man replied, "Oh, not at all, Unchained Qestel. It is just that The Integrals assume that The World Force is not one to engage in a war of Supremes. After all, none of us wants a repeat of the Age of Catastrophes."

This response made the lady choke. 'Damn them! How in the Laws did they manage to produce a Supreme!? Damn! He is right, though, if two Supremes fight, who knows how many countries will be lost?'

It was then that another one from the four pillars arrived and spoke, "Hmph! I do not believe that much destruction will be a threat if our Supremes move to kill yours." A male Elf with green eyes and long golden hair sneered, clearly insinuating that the singular Supreme of The Integrals would be helpless against the many of The World Force.

However, this still did not earn any negative emotion from the old man, "If we only had one, then probably, Em Misth. In addition, it is not as if the Supremes of The World Force are excited to work together. Is that not right, Ruler Yttei?"

Everyone's attention shifted as the dragon in a human form arrived beside Misth. His golden eyes were overflowing with pride and authority that they could not bear to see eye to eye with the old man. His dragonic wings created gusts of wind as they flapped to maintain his levitated status among everyone else. He did not even bother responding to the old man. He merely looked at him with his two cold golden eyes while keeping a sense of the lady who was about to arrive.

"You can already think of it as a certainty that The World Force would not let go of any spots for its most precious resource!" Misth said.

"Ho? Does Zen Ethra also hold the same opinion?" the old man said as a lady with the same golden markings on her forehead as Ahelia and Gabon arrived.

"The Zen Continent had always pursued peace and harmony," the silver-haired lady with golden eyes conservatively said, but her intentions were clear, 'There will be no more war.'

"Zen Ethra!!" Misth exclaimed. Yttei did not say anything, but if glares could kill, Ethra would have been dead by now.

"The Zen Continent had always held the position of peace and harmony. During the inception of The World Force, we joined because of that belief, and in the endless flow of time, we have held that belief and taken action with that as our core. That truth will not be revoked now," Ethra said with a stern tone.

'Oh, would look at that? Here I thought that The World Force is merely divided between The Quintet and The Septet, now it seems that the Zen Continent has their own stance as well, interesting," Z remarked in his thoughts.

"Fine. I would assume that the Zen Continent would respect the decision of The Septet if the majority decided to maintain the authority of The World Force," Misth said after calming down.

"The opinion of the Zen Continent will never be swayed and our actions will always be guided by it," Ethra said without a second thought.

"Ridiculous!" Before Misth could even respond, Yttei had already taken action. As he condemned Ethra's stance, he pointed his hand, which then turned into a claw, downward toward her, blasting a burst of Arcane containing Fire Laws.

It, however, was all for naught as before it could even touch the air around Ethra, it dissipated into the air like it was never there.

"It seems like our silence about the actions of the Zen Continent had given you the arrogance to stand against the collective decisions of The World Force," Yttei said with deep resentment.

"Do not imply that we are not playing by the rules of The World Force, R. Yttei. Have you forgotten that we signed under the caveat that The World Force must always pursue peace and harmony? Have you truly forgotten who the real powers of this world are?" Ethra said without emitting any Arcane. Maybe it was the tone of her voice or her sheer demeanor, but it sent chills down the spine of those who heard her. The message was clear.

'The Zen Continent is powerful enough to sway The World Force if it so chooses,' Z thought with a hidden grin. 'The more players there are, the better it would be for me. It seems like the Primordian Land will not have much difficulty in preventing The World Force from taking action.

"It seems like the decision of The World Force is becoming clearer," the old man said with his hoarse voice.

"Cease your attack here. Stay if you must, but cease the attack until The World Force reaches a conclusion. Luckily, a meeting is already ongoing, we just have to bring up the issue," Ethra said before pulling out a transmission token.

"Cynosure, we have a problem."
