Arcane filled both eyes of Yndrei and Z and they observed every fiber of their opponent's hands. They were trying to predict what the other party is going to show. They closely watched each other down to the millisecond.
'Every finger in his hand is getting tense, he is going paper!' Yndrei cheered in his thoughts. Just as he predicted, Z went paper, and he chose scissors by design.
"Ha! I won!" he said with a wide smile. However, his smile quickly died after noticing that everyone around him was looking at him in confusion. Lea and Oshi could only slightly smile and turn their heads as they knew exactly what Z did.
"What?!" Yndrei doubted his eyes for a second when he realized that Z used rock. "That can't be!" he said while looking at Julius as if seeking help.
"It was a rock all this time," Julius confirmed with a sigh. He pitied Yndrei as he was completely fooled by Z. 'Cunningness is also power, I guess,' he thought while looking at Z who was slyly smiling at Yndrei.
"Dragonoids are supposed to be smarter than dragons, but I guess you inherited the wrong part of the tree," Z mocked before returning to his seat.
Yndrei was left standing there, completely dumbfounded by the event. 'When did I fall under his illusion? The Arcane he used was so minuscule, I thought it was just part of his observation, Damn!' he cursed in his thoughts.
After a while, Z spoke once again, "If Sir Henry and Lady Ashe will it, then our team of five will be complete together with Lea and Gale."
"Since Sir Z had already fought to get me, then I would not dare decline," Henry said with a wide smile.
"I also support the result," Ashe said in a calm tone.
"Great. Now, the schedule for your specialized training is already in your rooms. The last thing I will note is the living arrangement. In order to function better as a team, the academy decided to make the five of you live in one room, your leader's room. Good luck," Julius said with a cunning smile before turning into blood and vanishing.
"What?!" Lea exclaimed in protest.
"For the record, I am not thrilled about it either," Z said.
"You?" Lea said while looking at Z in disbelief. She could only sigh and swallow her irritation as she could not do anything about the situation anymore.
"Do not worry, Lady Lea and Lady Ashe, I will make sure that the environment would not be uncomfortable for you to live in," Henry assured with a confident smile.
'That is a knight and shining armor for you,' Z thought.
Lea unwillingly led them to her room which looked identical to the one Z had. Thankfully, it was large enough to house a group of five. However, the problem was there was only one bed.
"I talked to the maids, and they said that they cannot bring another bed inside as having one bed is part of the so-called, familiarity plan, tsk," Lea said in irritation.
"The bed is large enough to fit all five of us, so it will be fine," Z remarked.
Ashe and Lea both looked at him in doubt, not sure if Z was too innocent or too indecent. "What?" Z asked after seeing the sticky looks on him.
"Ahem, Sir Z, it would be uncomfortable for the two ladies to share a bed with men," Henry explained.
"Why? We are all humans here. It is not as if there is a Dragonoid here that will give us warts," Z dismissively said. The rest could only sigh at Z as they quickly learned that he was one who loves mocking.
"Z, we will be uncomfortable," Lea said while sincerely looking into Z's eyes.
Z apologetically looked at the two before replying, "Fine." Then he went to Henry and borrowed his sword.
"What are you doing?" Henry asked.
The reply he received was not in words as he saw Z cut the bed into five equal pieces. Everyone praised his idea in their minds, but it quickly turned into dismay when they saw the bed regenerate.
"Uhm, Lady Ashe, I believe a curse would disable its regeneration," Z said which greatly shocked Ashe, but the latter did not let her expression show.
'How did he know about my abilities? Who is this man?' She thought in utter disbelief. Nevertheless, she waved her hand and drew Blue Runes at the edge of each part of the cut bed. Unlike other Runes, though, hers had traces of black and white lines which made them unique.
"There you go, problem solved. I am taking a bath first, later," he said before leaving. The night quietly passed by and in the blink of an eye, it was already time for their class with Anshth. All thirteen of them were present, filling up all available seats. When 6:00 hits the clock, Anshth went in, right on time.
"Good morning, class. Let us begin by discussing Celestial Authorities. Lea, lead us," Anshth greeted.
"Celestial Authorities refer to the core skills Celestials possess. Each Celestial gives different abilities and the strength of those varies based on how much an individual reached in learning that Authority. It is divided into Minor Authority, Major Authority, and Complete Authority, all of which are divided by massive barriers to learning," Lea explained.
"That is correct, and the way to advance or receive your Celestial's Authority is through familiarity with them and their power. This is the reason why people who have the same Celestial tend to have similar temperaments the further they go in strength since they are becoming one with their Celestials. The first part of the Violet Class curriculum is to have everyone unlock their Authority. That is why those of you who had not unlocked yours will spend seclusion in the best environment to learn about the power of your Celestials. Meanwhile, all of those who unlocked their Authorities will go to Noel for a mission, go," Anshth said.
"What mission are we doing, sir?" Henry asked.
"There had been sightings of Abyssals at the border between Libertia and the Unexplored World. In order to hone your battle skills, you are being sent there together with Noel."
