It was a sunny afternoon,
Iris was sent by her step mother on an errand to buy foodstuffs and some toiletries,Iris asked her step mother for money for transport and POW!!!, Her step mother slapped her and told her that what is wrong with your legs are you not young or are your legs paining you,what I'm I even saying even if your legs are paining you you'll exercise the leg,GET OUT NOW!!!.
Iris cheeks were hurting from the slap and she left the house holding her cheeks and started crying silently. Iris thought;I wish my mother was still alive or else her father wouldn't have had to marry that crazy woman(Angela) and her daughter(Isabella) and started sobbing on a spot.
She cried to her heart's content and remembered the errand Angela sent her and she left.(Iris mother Jasmine died when she was nine her mother had cancer of the blood and passed away later on. Iris had gone to hell and back when her mother died and her father would not reprimand her step sister Isabella when she did anything wrong and became a spoilt child. Iris knew her parents shared no love but couldn't believe her father showed her no love and treated her like a lowly servant) .
Iris was on the way to the market when she saw her childhood best friend Chloe Walker sister to Adrian;Chloe called out to Iris in the market but was not sure if she was the one or not because Iris looked so pale and like had not eaten for days,Iris heard her name and looked at the direction the person called her,Iris knew the voice was familiar but could not place her finger on who the person was
Iris turned back and saw a figure waving to her but could still not recognize the person she went to the direction of the figure and she saw Chloe clearly and was surprised but took it slowly and asked;Chloe is that you;Yes it's me Iris,how have you been doing, while hugging Iris she said;you look so pale and unkempt,tell me all about it,Chloe said and dragged Iris to a nearby restaurant to catch up on what's going on and why she's looking like this.
When they got to the restaurant Chloe ordered for two plates of porridge and drinks and sat down across Iris to come face to face with Iris there sat still thinking of how to start a conversation, Chloe finally spoke;Iris how are you and how is life and why are you looking like this,Iris was embarrassed and did not know how to start the story of how they became nothing. Chloe was shocked when she saw her intelligent,smart,beauty queen,bestie from high school in that state.
Iris told Chloe everything without leaving out a single detail,Chloe was already tearing up from Iris story,immediately Iris ended the story of how she became nothing,Chloe hurriedly hugged Iris both in tears;I'm so sorry... yo..u had to go th...rough all of these Chloe said in between sobs and they ate,gisted and Chloe told her how her life has been going on great.
Iris remembered she was sent on an errand and hurriedly stood up while cleaning her tears and was about to leave when Chloe noticed how she hurriedly stood up like as if the seat became hot.
Chloe asked her where to and she replied;my stepmother sent me on an errand and I totally forgot..sniff...sniff...sob...sob...sob,Iris was crying and Chloe felt pity for her friend Chloe then said;why don't you come live with me,I live alone and I'm always lonely with pleading eyes and sad face,Iris didn't speak.

Alright; Iris said and bid her goodbye and left the restaurant in a haste,she went back to the market to get the foodstuffs and toiletries and ran her way back home as if she was being chased by a demon.
When she got home she went through the back door and immediately she turned,POW!!!.
