"Lady Annalise," Edwin said, greeting her at the manor front door.
"You are up so late, Edwin. Do you always stay up when Rafael goes out?" Annalise asked as she walked up the steps.
"If I can stay awake, I will be around so Sir Rafael does not have to search for me. You have guests," Edwin said looking at the two women behind Annalise.
"They will be staying with us for a few days or maybe weeks. I don't know exactly how long. They will both need a room and maybe something to eat. You don't need to wake Mavis and the maids. I will help you prepare the rooms or get the food. I just need a moment to take off my armour," Annalise said, already taking off her helmet.
She desperately needed a fire to warm up.
"That won't be necessary. I will prepare their rooms and get the cook to warm up any leftover dinner. Please excuse me for a moment," said Edwin.
