"Why are we doing this again?" Annalise questioned, looking at the tray of food placed on Rafael's bed. "And why do you insist on eating on the bed when there is a table here in the room? You might spill something on the sheet."
'Then you need to be careful," Rafael replied, putting together a plate of food for her.
"I ate more than bread this morning. You do not need to do this," Annalise said, wanting him to stop.
Doing it once had given her the energy she needed, but she could not continue to eat the breakfast meant for him. The more she ate, the more there was a risk of her getting caught.
"There is a big table down in the dining room for you to eat. We can have your food spread out and you won't need to worry about spilling something. Let me," Annalise said, holding the tray to take it up, but Rafael held onto it.
