"Did you fall somewhere today, Annalise? It couldn't be the fall from a while ago that gave you this fresh bruise," Rafael said, slightly pulling down the neck of her shirt to get a better look at the bruise.
"You're killing me right now," Annalise muttered. Now was not the time to be talking about bruises. She always had bruises all over her body. Why should this one matter matter now?
Whenever she took a trip around the town she would come back with bruises. They showed that Annalise had fun and when someone pointed them out, Annalise could share the adventure she had.
"Don't poke at it, Rafael. It'll go away soon. Please let me go. You're no fun," Annalise sighed, giving up on her trick. Rafael was playing ignorant like he didn't have the slightest clue what she was trying to do.
