Annalise could clearly see Rafael's disappointment in her not saying what she really wanted to say. Time and time again, she continued to make him wait, and he did not state how made him feel. He didn't argue that she should be more open to speaking with him.
They slept together, yet she could not open her mouth to tell him who she was. She had never been so afraid of what was on her mind before. She wished he knew that. It was so hard to possibly witness someone you cared for looking at you differently when they learned something shocking about you.
"We're going to have the person outside thinking we are doing something bad," Annalise said, continuing to smile as she pushed his hair out of his face. "Tell me what you need to be packed, and I will get everything for you. Please let it be your swords and armour."
"If I tell you to pack my swords and armour, you will just play around with it and not get much done," Rafael said, standing up from the floor.
