"Isn't it nice for the two of us to be alone together? I'm sorry to take you away from playing with the children, but we must get the things we need for the ball early so we don't bother the men later. Thank you," Beatrice thanked Logan after he offered his hand to help her out of the carriage.
"You're welcome. And next," Logan said, smiling at Annalise who was ready to get out of the carriage without any help. "Don't avoid my hand, Annalise. I want to look like a gentleman here."
Annalise used Logan's hand to step down out of the carriage. "If you want to be a gentleman, please save me if she wants me to try on a dress," she whispered.
Trying on dresses was not fun for her and she didn't need a dress since one was already prepared for the ball.
