IN PAIN AND IN DOUBT
Jack woke up with a gasp. His head was throbbing with pain, and his body ached all over. He sat up, but his head started spinning, and he fell back on the floor. He tried to move his arms, but they wouldn't budge. He looked down on his body and saw blood on his shirt. He felt himself panicking and tried to calm his pounding heart and find a way out of the situation.
A few seconds later, his head started pounding again, he clutched his head tightly as it was painful. He was gasping for air as he was fighting to stay conscious. He remembered Lily and he tried to call for her but notice the dead silence in the air and his body was trembling as if he had gone through a severe shock.
