LIFE OF A SLAVE: Lost in the Shadows
Jessica, her small frame carrying a sense of innocence, walked alongside one of the men. Her eyes reflected a genuine curiosity as she asked, "Do you really know the way to the market?" Her voice was filled with childlike wonder, oblivious to the sinister motives concealed by the man's veneer.
The man, with his disheveled blond hair and a prominent scar stretching across his right cheek, exuded an air of malevolence. Jessica, unacquainted with the harsher aspects of life, wanted to engage him in conversation. She innocently persisted, "Do you know the way?"
The man's cold eyes bore into her as he retorted, "Shut up, little girl." His voice was gruff, laced with a dangerous edge.
