Chapter 23 - zero

Elia had managed to collect aura after nine years, and before he disappeared several months ago, he had already reached Level F, so there should be no problem with his body.

So where did the auras he collected during these years go? And why can't I collect more auras?

I raised my hand again and asked Professor Benedict, "So is there a case in which aura suddenly disappears from a person's body?"

"Hmm…" Professor Benedict put his hand to his chin as he narrowed his eyes, "No… I have never heard of such a case before, even the least talented people have auras inside their bodies and can collect a small amount of it each time. ..."

Benedict clapped his hands and began to speak in a cheerful tone, "Okay, students, we will now test your aura amount."

"...." Looks like I'm in real trouble

The students complained that they were forced to retake this test

And they all started to stand in a line in front of a device about two meters long. They would put their right hand on a screen, and then the screen would start to emit light, and then the result would appear on another screen.

I stood at the end of the line, sweating profusely. I couldn't find an excuse to escape from this situation.

All the students in my class had high talents, the least talent was (S+)

"...." It was embarrassing to be the only B-rank person in this place

Finally it was my turn, but I hesitated and did not put my hand on the screen

"Is there a problem, apprentice Elia?" asked Benedict

"This….. I don't feel well, can I…" I tried to come up with an excuse to escape, but Benedict interrupted me.

"You can go to the clinic after the test is over..."

"....." Seems inevitable, I took a deep breath and placed my hand on the screen.

The device started working and the screen issued a white light, and then the result appeared on the results screen

zero

This was the result on the screen

"...." All the students stared at the screen in amazement, they were all bored and talking to each other waiting for the end of the test, but they were all silent when my result came out

" this !" Benedict approached the device and started pressing several buttons, then turned to me and said, "Put your hand on the device again."

I put my hand on the device again , but the result was the same

zero

What does this mean? I had never heard of such a rating when I searched the internet.

"What's going on!" Benedict seemed as confused as I was. "Everyone stay here until I get back," he said before running out of the classroom.

A minute after he left, he came back pushing a cart containing a five-meter-long device, similar to a talent measuring device, but bigger.

"Now you may, put your hand here..." Benedict pointed at a screen mounted on the device.

I tried this device, but the result was the same

"What the hell is going on…" Benedict grabbed his head with his hands and started grating his hair

I'm sure he would go bald if he pulled his hair like that

No, this is not my main problem, I need to know what rank (zero) means

The students started whispering among themselves while looking at me suspiciously

"Apprentice Elia , tell me the truth, can you use the Aura?…" Benedict narrowed his eyes as he looked at me.

I can't lie in this situation, because if Benedict asked me to use the Aura, my lie would be exposed and I might get in trouble.

But even if I told the truth, it wouldn't change the fact that I couldn't use Aura

The elite class, which is the pride of the human race, has a student who cannot use Aura

I can imagine this headline spreading all over the newspapers and news channels

I said in a defeated tone as I closed my eyes

"No… I can't use Aura…"

"....." Benedict and the students looked at me in shock

"You can't use the Aura?" Benedict repeated, as if in disbelief

I shook my head affirmatively

"Apprentice Elia, aren't you supposed to be at level (F)?"

"I don't know, I just can't collect auras in my body…"

Benedict's face became serious. He looked at the device for a moment, then turned his eyes to me. "I have to report this to the council..."

"...." I just stood there silently, not knowing what to say

I couldn't help but sigh as I imagined what awaits me
