After Oliver gained consciousness he just looked from Nala to Mr. Gurung. There was no regret in Oliver's eyes. Mr. Gurung said he wants to have heart to heart talk with his brother. So he asked Nala to leave them alone for the moment.
Nala wished that her dad would better take some action towards Oliver. When the talk was over she was called in. Oliver gave her a weird look and a mischievous smile. She sensed something was wrong.
Mr. Gurung looked at his eldest daughter and asked her to forgive her uncle. What the fuzz? This wasn't something she was expecting from her father.
"What? You want me to forgive him? And why should I? He nearly raped me while he was supposed to be my god father and protect me."
Quiet. Not a single word from your mouth. He is sorry about what he did. He couldn't control after seeing you in that state. Now I want this to be a secret within this wall. Am I clear? Otherwise the consequences will be bad."
"Dad did I heard it right or am I hallucinating? You want me to shut up? How can a father do this to his child. You were supposed to be on my side dad. I hate you."
"I don't care if you hate me. But I don't want this to be publicize. This could bring stain in our reputation. And you Oliver be careful next time. I don't want you to mess up our fame. Got that?"
"Yes, brother!" and he smirked at Nala. As if saying this isn't the last. I will get you next time.
"Thank you dad. This was the least I was expecting from you. Now I understand mom very well and why she left you. I will never forgive you for this. You kept your reputation and money before your daughter. I wish you die poor and no-one around you. And you Oliver, you moron I will get you for this."
With that Nala left the room crying. She wept on her bed hugging the pillow. How she wished her mom and sister were there to comfort her and speak for her. But she didn't want to drag Lucy in it or she might become the next victim of Oliver. .
She still couldn't believe her father did that to her. She was sure if she stayed here any longer she would go crazy.
She didn't knew what her dad and uncle talked inside the room but it might be something that could bring the downfall of Gurung family. But anyway he didn't support his own flesh and blood.
She was sure Oliver would be looking for another chance. And she was also sure that her father was not going to protect her. She rembered her father saying "be careful next time Oliver". What could this mean.? It only came to her mind that her father might have granted her uncle the permission to rape her, whatever the reason maybe.
She couldn't feel comfortable and safe in her own house.
So only solution she seem to find was to runaway from the people and society and her so called family who didn't value her. So she packed her bag and some cash and waited till the night. The door was always guarded so she decided to jump off the wall.
When the clock strike midnight she knew it was time for her to say goodbye. She jumped from the wall with the help of some stones as step.
She gave a last glance at the house and her heart filled with sweet and sour memories. But now there was no turning back. She ran as fast as she could until she bumped into someone.
