Hanbing shut his eyes open and pressed the button over the top stopping the alarm, and stares at the digital clock on the side table with his sleep-deprived eyes.
After the night stunt, he could hardly get any sleep last night. This wasn't the first time he had to deal with something like that.
But no matter how much you experience it, there is no way you can get yourself to prepare for something like it.
That is exactly what happened with Hanbing, being one of the desired bachelors, he had to experience things to the worst end.
Pushing the sheets away, Hanbing rose from the bed walking towards the bathroom to get a quick shower.
On the other side of the door, Aera stood there waiting and stepped inside the room hearing the sound of the door locking.
The maids rushed behind holding the clean sheets in their arms, while Aera moved towards the walk-in cupboard to get the clothes ready for Hanbing.
Aera stands by the bed waiting for the maids to complete changing the sheets "I'll do the rest, you can leave," She orders the maids noticing the water stop.
Hanbing walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist while Aera stood there with her head down staring at the floor.
"Is LuLu awake?" Hanbing asks walking towards the mirror facing his back to Aera.
"Yes, Master" Aera replied, holding her head down looking at the floor. Hanbing nods his head a little.
"Okay, you can leave" He commands and she walks out releived, of the room closing the door behind her.
After getting ready Hanbing walked down the stairs, his eyes lit up seeing the little figure of his daughter sitting on the little chair waiting for him.
"Good morning Dada," LuLu speak in her cute little voice making Hanbing's ice-like heart melt like water.
Hanbing marched towards his daughter and held her into his arms pressing her close to him and kissing her cheeks and lets her down to complete her breakfast.
The father and daughter duo were having a delightful breakfast, but it did not last long, Mrs. Lu arrived into the mansion.
Aera gaped at the sight of her arrival and quickly rushed to pull the chair for her to sit with her son and granddaughter.
"Thank you, daughter," Mrs. Lu says forcing a smile on her face and Aera returned the smile serving her breakfast.
"Good morning Mom" Hanging greeted his mother, followed by the little lady eating her breakfast.
"Good morning Gamma," She said running to her, and Mrs. Lu kissed her cheeks and hands pulling her closer and tightly hugging her.
"Good morning, my darling" Mrs. Lu greeted her granddaughter, completely ignoring her son who looked at her confused.
Hanbing was expecting this and everyone standing around the table to serve them knew this was going to happen, but no one expected it to be this soon.
Mrs. Lu wanted to smack some sense in her adult son, but that was not going to be easy and she knew that. She had been forcing him to get married for two years straight but he never took her advice seriously and the incidents kept happening.
Women who loved money threw themselves on him and came to the mansion by the excuse of the child, hoping to get a chance to jump over his bed.
Mrs. Lu wanted all of this to come to an end but Hanbing was not ready to get married, the last time he listen his mother and tried to get married the woman almost sent his daughter to the orphanage leaving him with no choice but to drop the idea of marriage all together.
But as his mother, Mrs. Lu did not have that same intentions, she wanted her son to fall in love and start a new life.
Hanbing knew her mother is here for the same reason and tries to finish his breakfast quickly and leave the house, but it's easier said than done.
"Aera, daughter, can you take my granddaughter to her room?" Mrs. Lu suggests looking at Aera, she nods her head and grabs LuLu's little hands taking her back to her room.
Hanbing takes a shark breath looking at his mother to start whatever she came here for and get it over with.
"Hanbing, I'm asking you one last time, when do you plan to get married?" Mrs. Lu is not the lady to waste her time, she always believed time is a precious gift.
Hanbing stares at his mother taking a deep breath and placed the fork on the side of the plate looking at his mother who was waiting for the answer.
"Never, Mom," He said without hesitating for a bit, and Mrs. Lu nodded her head looking at him, and rose from the chair waking towards LuLu's room.
Aera stood by the edge of the bed watching over LuLu smiling at her, who was busy playing with her toys.
"Daughter, pack the bags, I am taking LuLu with me," Mrs. Lu said looking at her, and Aera froze for a second processing what she just heard.
"Aera!" Mrs. Lu called her, bringing her back to the normal state, but that only made her realize how this was not going to happen.
"Mrs. Lu, Master, he-" Aera tried to speak, but her words did not support her.
"Just do as told daughter, don't make me remind you who got you the job" Mrs. Lu reminded, threatening her to do what she was asked to.
Aera did not complain, as Mrs. Lu has always been her benefactor and she couldn't afford to make her angry and packed all the necessary clothes LuLu might need for the stay.
"Now go pack your bag too, your coming with me" Mrs. Lu alerted her, confusing her, but she did not dare ask any other question and walked out of the room to pack her bag.
Hanbing was still at the dining table thinking about what changed and why was his mother not pestering him this time, and all his doubts cleared when he saw Aera walking down the stairs holding the bags in her hands, while his mother held LuLu's hand.
'No Mom!' He thought getting up from his chair getting towards the ladies. "Mom, what is this?" Hanbing tried to understand what this meant, even when he could see what was happening.
"What do you think son?" Mrs. Lu questioned him "You are not fit to be a father," She added and pointed at LuLu.
"What are you talking about Mom? I am not fit to be a father? Seriously? I did everything I could- " He yelled at his mother, but paused looking at LuLu, who hid behind her grandmother, frightened seeing him angry.
"See what you did!" Mrs. Lu taunted him, but he was still confused as to what his mistake here is "Take her to the car," She said and Aera walked out of the mansion with her head down.
Hanbing tried to stop, but Mrs. Lu held her wooden crane in front of him tryign to stop him from walking any further.
"Don't you dare!" She warned him to stay back "If you want your daughter back bring me a woman, not a nanny but a woman who you are ready to get married to!"
Mrs. Lu said what she said, and turned around walking out of the mansion leaving Hanbing alone and frustrated.
