Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

The girl's younger sister lived in another city, where she had moved for work. She was working for a company that had a branch office in that city. The girl's sister had made many new friends there, including her best friend, who was also working for the same company. They had become close friends over the past few months and had decided to visit the girl in her hometown.

The girl was overjoyed when she heard the news of their upcoming visit. She missed her sister terribly, and it had been a long time since they had seen each other. She was also excited to meet her sister's best friend, whom she had heard so much about. The thought of spending time with them filled her with happiness, and she couldn't wait to show them around her city and introduce them to her own friends.

The girl was happy in her comfortable home, surrounded by the familiar sights and sounds of her childhood. She had grown up in this house, and it held many happy memories for her. She felt grateful for her family and friends, who had always been there for her through thick and thin. The news of her sister's visit brought a sudden surge of joy and excitement, reminding her of the importance of family and the bonds that held them together.

As she helped her mother prepare breakfast, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the simple pleasures of life - a warm home, good food, and the love of her family and friends. She looked forward to the days ahead, when she would be able to share these pleasures with her sister and her best friend, and make new memories that would last a lifetime.

She quietly set the table for breakfast, hoping not to disturb his Dad who is reading the newspaper. But as she approached him to invite him to join them, he looked up and smiled.

"Good morning, sweetheart," he said, folding the newspaper and placing it on the table beside him. "You're up early today."

"Good morning, Dad," the girl replied, returning the smile. "I'm always up early. You just never notice."

Her dad chuckled. "That's because I'm always lost in the news. What's on the menu for breakfast today?"

"We're having omelets and toast," the girl replied. "Mom's in the kitchen cooking right now. Are you ready to join us?"

"Of course," her dad said, standing up and stretching. "I could use a good meal. Thanks for setting the table."

As they walked into the kitchen, the girl continued the conversation.

"So, Dad, how was your day yesterday? Did you finish that project you were working on?"

Her dad nodded. "Yes, I did. It took longer than I thought, but I finally got it done. How about you? Anything new with you?"

The girl smiled. "Actually, yes. My sister and her best friend are coming to visit us in a couple of days. They'll be staying for a week."

Her dad's face lit up. "That's great news! We haven't seen your sister in ages. We'll have to plan something special for their visit."

The girl nodded, feeling happy. "I know. I can't wait to show them around the city and spend time with them."

As they sat down for breakfast, the girl felt grateful for her dad's company and the simple pleasures of family life. She couldn't wait for the days ahead, when she would be able to share these pleasures with her sister and her best friend.

The girl's dad was the owner of a small-scale company that specialized in manufacturing industrial machinery. Despite its small size, the company was doing great, with a reputation for producing high-quality products at affordable prices. The girl had always been impressed with her dad's work ethic and dedication to his company, and she often dreamed of working with him to help grow the business even further.

One day, as they were having lunch together, the girl broached the subject with her dad.

"Dad, I've been thinking about your company a lot lately," she said. "I really believe in what you're doing, and I want to be a part of it. Would you consider letting me work with you?"

Her dad looked at her, surprised but pleased. "Well, that's certainly an interesting idea. But do you have the necessary skills and experience to work in a manufacturing company?"

The girl nodded confidently. "I've been studying business administration in college, and I've learned a lot about how to run a company. I think I could be a valuable asset to your team."

Her dad smiled. "I have no doubt that you could be. But remember, running a business is not just about having the right qualifications. It's also about having the passion and dedication to see it succeed. Are you ready to make that commitment?"

The girl nodded again, more fervently this time. "Yes, I am. I believe in your company, and I want to help it grow and succeed."

Her dad's smile grew wider. "Well, then. Welcome aboard, my dear. We'll make a great team."

From that day on, the girl worked tirelessly alongside her dad, learning the ins and outs of the company and helping to implement new strategies and ideas. Together, they took the company to new heights, expanding its reach and customer base and making it one of the most successful small-scale manufacturing companies in the region. The girl felt proud and fulfilled, knowing that she was making a real difference in the world and contributing to her family's legacy of hard work and dedication.

As the family chatted and joked over breakfast, the atmosphere in the room was light and jovial. Vineeta cracked jokes and teased Kishika about finding a suitable husband, while Raj added his own input, occasionally interjecting with his own witty comments.

As the SUV sped away, Kishika was left alone in the aftermath of the chaos, her mind reeling with questions and fear. What had she just witnessed? Who were those men? And most importantly, was she in danger now that she had seen what she had seen?
