In the Wales kingdom the announcement of the engagement between Charlie and Ian was the gossip everywhere. Even though the nobel's were gossiping they were always gossiping about something. The surprise was that even the commoners were in on this. But could you really blame them? Their only princess was marrying the prince of the empire they had been at war with for years.
In the imperial palace everyone was busy preparing for the crown prince of Magi's arrival. In the princess room the two royal siblings could be caught slacking off. "Charlie, why is everyone so excited for that price from the Magi empire to come? I mean we have been enemies with them even before the founding of Wales but as soon as you are getting married to the crown prince they are okay with it?"Leo said bitterly. True, do they even know I was forced into this? I mean come on I bet he isn't even attractive. She replied while rolling her eyes.
As soon as she finished her statement their maid Marie barged in. "It's time to get ready for the arrival of the crown prince of the Magi empire." Maie stated in a murderous tone making sure they would listen. The two siblings shivered under her gase and instantly replied "Yes ma'am." Marie had been their nanny since they were born so they knew how scary she could be but they knew that they couldn't just fire her plus they really enjoyed having her around even though neither one of them would ever admit to it.
After the two of them had finished getting ready in their respective rooms. They went to meet Marie in the common room. When they had both arrived together Marie squealed and complimented on how great the both of them looked. Leo had his long golden hair in a loose side braid. He was wearing a white dress shirt with lime green accents and tight dark blue jeans.
Charlie had her hair loose and flowy. She had part of her hair braided and pinned to the side of her head with a red hair clip. She wore a flowy dark blue dress that had pink flowers at the hem of the dress along with white heels. She only had a little makeup on. She had a little blush to add some color to her face. She had a light pink lipstick with natural looking eyeshadow and mascara.
The welcoming party had finally started. Mostly everyone was already at the banquet hall. Leo and Charlie had come in together earning everyone's attention. "I guess it's time for a speech." Charlie sighed' well the floor is yours dear sister Leo teased quietly. Charlie started her speech. "Thank you everyone for coming today as most of you probably already know. I have been engaged to Ian Smith, the crown prince of the Magi empire. I am relieved to say that the process has gone very smoothly and I am happy to be the one that helps our kingdom with the ending of this long never-ending exhausting war. Too many of our people have suffered over the years for what? Because our ancestors had problems with each other?! This is peace!"
A nice looking gentleman had approached her highness. He had a tan complexion with amber eyes that looked incredibly gentle. He had broad shoulders but a pretty good sized frame; it wasn't too bulky or too scrawny."I assume you are her highness Charlie?"said the gentleman "Why yes I am who is asking?"replied the girl. You might have already heard of me?I am Ian Smith, your majesty, your future husband. "Hmmm? I guess you aren't too bad looking" Charlie responded. Huh!? "Did you think I was some ugly old man?" Ian replied in shock Leo who witnessed the whole thing got annoyed with Ian for flirting with his sister and interrupted "Are you not you look atrocious ugly to me old man" Ian was now furious with Leo "why you arrogant prick!!!?" He replied in an icy tone underlying with malice.
