Lia looked at Lacey, who was blushing and avoiding eye contact with Lia. She could not believe Lacey had told her parents they were dating. She sighed. 'This girl is going to be the death of me.'
It took a lot of effort to convince her parents that they weren't dating. Even then, her mother didn't fully believe Lia.
The reason they had visited was two-pronged, as she had found out. One: They were there to see their daughter and inform her of an incoming sibling. Two: They were there to deliver a package. One they had neglected earlier. It was a large blood-red "katana", or that's what Saro called it.
According to her parents, it was a family heirloom passed down to the first daughter of the family. She wasn't sure why they hadn't given it to her earlier, but she didn't necessarily care that much. It was a nice gesture, and she appreciated it.
Her parents seemed to be acting a bit strange, specifically her mom. She seemed more... "lovey" than usual. She wasn't sure why, but it was something she was going to look into.
Lia herself was still sitting in the infirmary. Hysteria was sitting next to her eating a cookie, and Lacey had taken off to get some rest. At first, she insisted she "sleep" with Lia in the medical bed, but Lia wanted to actually get some rest and told her no. She ran off on her own after that.
She was currently looking at her system window and deciding where her stat points should go. Her Mana was largely a non-issue. She had so much of it that she had never once run out. Her physical stats warranted some attention though. For the time being, she would put them into agility and strength.
Ascension System:
Lia Darkova [Sarovitch]
Species: Pure-Blooded Noble Vampire
Level: 8
Magical Aptitude: Light (Low) Neutral (Low) Black (Perfect)
Titles: Blessed By The Moon, Shattered One, Maiden of Night
Stats:
Strength- 25->30* [40->50*]
Agility- 25->30* [75->79]
Endurance- 40 [60]
Stamina- 30 [130]
Mana- 200->205* [25]
MR (Mana Recovery Rate)- 50->60* M/P [4 M/P]
Stat Points to allocate: 14->0
Skill Points to allocate: 1->0
She placed 5 points in strength, 5 points in Agility, and 4 in MR. She had no way of figuring out how MR was calculated. When she placed 4 points, her MR went up by 10 and her mana went up by 5. She had no idea why. At first, she was tempted to place all of the points into MR to see what would happen. In the end, she decided it was a bad idea to test things using her stat points.
As a test, she put her skill point in her only personal skill, Attunement to Black Magic. Half of her wanted to know if the skill point would double, and the other half just wanted the skill point there. Apparently, Saro still had all of her stat and skill points.
Saro had placed ten of her points in strength and four in Agility. She ignored her mana for the time being. Lia had previously explained the damaged mana circuits to Saro, and she figured they had something to do with her abysmal magical aptitude.
For the time being, Lia figured that all of the stat points were exclusive. Meaning that she and Saro had separate ones. If she had to guess, she figured that placing the skill point in a shared skill wouldn't allow Saro to place a second one. It would have been easier if the system just explained things, but it wouldn't. The two of them had to figure it out on their own.
.....
Lia awoke in a small room. Her body couldn't move, and her eyelids felt heavy. There was a feeling of claustrophobia that overtook her. A young woman with blonde hair and deep, empty black eyes entered the room and stared at her.
There was a feeling of nostalgia, remorse, regret, and...pain that washed over her mind as she saw the girl. Something was wrong, and Lia began to inwardly panic. Magic swirled around her body. An element she had never wielded before, lightning, headed her call. The room was destroyed in an instant. It was blown apart by the strength of the lightning, but the girl was unphased. She stared at her with a look of twisted obsession and possessiveness. There were five profoundly dark words spoken. "I am coming for you, Lia Sarovitch."
Lia's eyes shot open. Her breathing was heavy and she struggled to catch her breath. It took her a minute to calm down. When she finally did, Saro spoke to her.
'Ve...That girl, her name is Ve. If she's here, she's going to try and ruin our lives. I know her, and she's exceedingly dangerous. Lacey is in grave danger if she is around. We must. We have to find her and kill her.'
Lia was puzzled. She had never witnessed Saro so...worried. She was either a bloodthirsty maniac or a being of calm serenity. She was never worried, and now, Lia was worried too.
Lia hopped out of bed and quickly left the infirmary. She couldn't stay here, Saro advised her to find Lacey as quickly as possible. She left the infirmary, which was just a large enchanted tent, and began walking toward their previous hotel.
.....
It didn't take her long to find it. She had pretty much memorized its location, and luckily, the hotel was in perfect shape. Her dream was just that, a dream. Still, she entered the hotel and walked to Lacey's room.
The hotel lobby was surprisingly empty. Lia encountered no problems entering. She was now standing in front of Lacey's door. She knocked softly.
She waited for a few moments, but there was nothing. She knocked again and waited. There was the sound of shuffling feet, and the groggy voice of Lacey resounded. "Mm...who?"
Lia spoke. "It's me, Lia. I'm her-"
The door flew open in the middle of her sentence, and she was pulled into the room. Lacey was wearing nothing but black silken panties, and she quickly pulled Lia into a kiss, Kicking the door closed behind her.
The kiss had Lacey's tongue aggressively invading her mouth, leading her deeper into lust.
Lia moaned into the kiss, and Lacey reciprocated. Lacey was so needy, she always was.
Lia was led to the bed amidst the kissing and Lacey laid her down, straddling her hips.
