Ari was terrified and confused. They were sharing a moment then in seconds Alaric had turned frightening; grabbing for her throat triggering some instinctual need to get away. Somewhere in the back of her mind a thought floated up that this wasn't the first time she'd almost been devoured. But that felt wrong. That hadn't been what happened.
With Benjamin's help she managed to get herself back in the wheelchair before wheeling out of the room. The feral cries of Alaric still echoed in her ears. She used the sleeve of her shirt to dab the blood from her lip, unsure whether to be weirded out or concerned.
Benjamin frowned. "Are you alright, Madame? Is there anywhere else you may have accidentally gotten hurt?" He wheeled her down the hallway at a quick pace, a saddened look on his face. "He isn't always like that. He has a very bad condition. Without his Medication, he turns a bit rabid. My utmost apologies."
