Grandpa had fallen asleep while she remained awake, her eyes stared hard at her entwined fingers and her mind wandered at the possibilities of her mum not being able to return from the theatre.
She released multiple sighs. It had been up to an hour since she last saw her mother. For the first time sinceany years, she finally once again longed to see and feel the woman who had given birth to her.
For the umpteenth time, she looked in the other direction to see if there would be any signs of the doctor or nurses with her mother. However, it remained the since like it had been in the past one hour.
She sighed again and adjusted uncomfortably into the bench.
Just then, her purse lying next to her on the bench vibrated and a ringing tone emerged from it. She quickly reached for it and took out her buzzing phone.
It was her friend, Ruby.
She answered the call and placed the phone over her ear.
"Hello," She greeted.
