The sleep effect slowly started to fade away and he was soon pulled out of the pool of darkness that had drowned him.
He blinked his eyes several times so they could adjust to the colour of his surroundings.
"Welcome back."
His eyes rolled to the woman whose face was hovering above his. Max hurriedly sat up and the woman stepped away, keeping her hands crossed behind her back.
"What did you do to me?" Max blurted out as if the words hurt his tongue.
"I did nothing," Captain Lulu shrugged while keeping an intense gaze of amusement on the boy.
Max stood up from the ground to face her.
"I suddenly blacked out on our way here. Is there something you are hiding from me?"
He was more than prepared to attack the woman if she turned out to be a traitor.
"Oh dear," Captain Lulu said amidst laughter. "You were unable to control the sleep effect of the black hole."
"The black hole?" Max asked, slightly confused.
