Only Cheryl had gone through the portal when the other two heard strange noises. The portal quickly closed on Max's command.
"What's that?" Max rhetorically asked. He and Chase turned to find out the cause of the cracking sounds.
"Sheesh, we shouldn't have thought this to end so easily," Chase's gem said in a tired voice.
The hole which Max had covered up with lava had suddenly started spreading cracks around itself.
The cracks continued for some time till they had created spirals, ones larger than the one from earlier.
Transparent goo poured out from the cracks, this one was the largest they had ever seen so far. It poured out as easy as water flowed on a surface and began crawling in their direction.
No one needed to tell them what to do. Their legs knew the word. It was no use to attack a large sized tone blob that could use powers used against it to it's advantage.
