What had just transpired before their eyes at that second would have proven to qualify for dark humour. Someone who had just spoken words of motivation was already on the ground in less than a second.
The perpetrators of the act began to reveal their presence as a horde of dwarf creatures ran down the mountains in their direction. The dwarf creatures had similar features to the Cyclop Wehyns except that they could walk on two stubby feet and possessed a pair of eyes. Their shells sparkled with irregular pieces of blue gems.
Name : [ Wehyns ]
Rank : [ Grade 5 Divine beasts ]
[ Creatures with a high passion for jewelry and sparkling objects. Known as renowned thieves that can fool even the wisest of men ]
They made squeaky noises as they chanted in the mood of war and marched toward their newfound enemies. The humans had hurt a leader and they had seen it as an attempt to steal from them. No one dared to steal from the Wehyns only they had the right to take from others what they believed should have been theirs.
"Go get him, Kai," The gem beside Chase said.
The gem engulfed itself in bright lights and once the lights had disappeared, the gem was gone, and beside Chase now stood a pink-coloured fierce-looking tiger.
The tiger ran to Roy and hurriedly pushed him up onto its back. The tiger returned to the gemstone it once was, with Roy inside of it this time.
"I guess it's left to the three of us..."
A voice none of them had expected to hear cut Cheryl short.
"Be gone."
Everything had paused for a second and a blast of energy swept through the place. The Wehyns in sight had exploded into bits and half of the ground present in the area had crumbled allowing many of the Cyclop Wehyns to forcefully fall through. Max and Cheryl weren't spared by this attack and were equally blown away with so much force that their bodies dug holes into the ground.
The whole area that once glittered with the beauty of the beasts that lived here was in a total mess. Everyone has gone down except the boy with green hair and the gem floating beside him. He lifted his clenched fist and opened it to see at least a dozen beast cores resting on his palm. He smiled.
"This should be enough to trade with for the meantime," The gem said with a hint of satisfaction in its tone.

After wallowing in the darkness for who knows how long, his eyelids gave way for a ray of light to pierce through his purple ball-shaped capsule. He was back in the spaceship.
"What happened?" Max asked as he sat up on his seat and his gaze landed on Chase who sat in front of him.
"You passed out," Chase's gem relayed his thoughts.
"I see. What about them? They haven't woken up yet," Max looked at Cheryl and Roy who still lay unconscious on seats not too far from where he sat.
"Kai managed to rid Roy of the stones that pierced him and healed him," The gem said.
"Who's Kai?" Max asked.
"My Familiar," The gem replied.
"Yeah, I remember. The pink tiger," Max nodded.
"Yes."
The gem paused for a while. "I managed to acquire a few beast cores."
"Cool. You did all the work with your voice power and I think you should keep it," Max replied.
"A Wehyn beast core should cost 100 gems at most," Chase shrugged. He stretched his hand to Max which held an irregularly shaped blue gem.
"You didn't need to," Max smiled and took the gem from his hand. He sized it up and down with a satisfied look on his face. "It's of good quality."
"What's to be expected of beasts who are obsessed with jewelry," A laugh came from the gem. "I'm going to give those two a core each. The rest goes to me, like you said and I am aware of that fact, I own the kills."
Chase smiled.
"About your ability, does it activate every time you talk or do you control when it happens?" Max inquired.
"I rarely speak. It's something I was born with so I have never spoken," The gem sounded a bit down. "It may be helpful but then it feels like a curse."
Chase was a bot which meant the game was his world and he lived here. Being born with an ability in this world was considered normal and that was why the majority of people here possessed skills of different kinds.
Just then, a warning sound filled the silent air.
"What's going on?"
The two of them got on their feet.
"Intruders," The gem said.
"Do you think some were alive?" Max turned to face Chase.
"They followed us here."

The special one...
What made him special? Was the fact that he possessed a system? Or was there more to that title, ' The special one.' If this so-called special one had a bright future just as the soothsayer had foretold, would it hurt to bring him over to his side? Though the future foretold wasn't certain as the special one was placed in the middle of a new era in the game verse and the downfall of the game verse. Would he be the hero or the villain?
But then this special one, as the human was referred to had so much power beyond his knowledge that had been sealed away for years due to the human world he had grown in. The human world had low energy levels that
made it impossible for them to evolve into superhumans and it suppressed the inner ability for one with such potential to get to that level of evolution.
Come to think about it, creating a whole new world designed from the depths of darkness that held so much beauty to a man like himself. Building an army of hardcore trained dark magic users, building an empire solely in his honour where his newfound minions would crawl and bow before him in respect and worship.
God...
He wanted to feel like a god. He wanted to feel what it would be like to make people his footstool. So this was how the Lord of the Game verse felt anytime he looked upon his people and made judgement according to his will against them. The feeling of endless power enough to consume everyone underneath him plunged him into a world of imagination.
The ingredients to this future of his world were all made available except for the main recipe, the special one. Persuading a kid ignorant of what he was wouldn't pose a problem. The devil comes uninvited to an unsettled mind. How easy would that be!
Already bad enough, the so-called special one had no sort of protection. Getting close to him would be as easy as anything.
Cecil smirked as more devious thoughts found their way into his mind. In between his palms stood a crystal ball through which he viewed the purple-eyed boy with ease.
"It's such a pity that he thought he could hide the boy for so long. I mean, I'm too smart to have found him this early. Sigh, their cheap tricks don't work on someone like me. I find this funny how low they think of me. Perhaps they supposed I would have wandered off into a dark void till I would fall to my death."
He paused to release the laughter that had long threatened to choke him if he didn't let it free.
"Oh my. I haven't had much laughter in a while," He sighed. Turning to face the three female servants who stood behind him, he asked, "Isn't he precious?"
"Yes, sire," The girls chorused keeping their gazes fixed to the ground.
"Look up," His commanding tone came.
The girls quickly did as they were ordered. The boy did look handsome but the fear that had overwhelmed them didn't even let them linger on that thought.
"He looks just as precious," One of them said.
"Yes, sire. He does look precious," The two other girls nodded in agreement.
Cecil nodded and his eyes sized up the youngest girl among them.
"Go warm up my bed. I'll be joining you soon," He said to her.
The girl nervously clutched the hem of her dress and bowed her head.
"Yes, sire."
With that, she scurried out of the room.
"You two can leave," He said to the others before returning his attention to the ball in his hands.
The two servants bowed before hurrying out of the room with only a thought in their minds. The young maiden had captured the eyes of the master and had awoken his lust. How much they pitied the poor girl.
He smiled and caressed the ball with his slender fingers.
"Oh dear special one, you have a lot of work to do for me."
