The faces were the same. The houses were the same. The streets were the same. School was the same. Everything was the same. He was back home…
He stepped into class to find a teacher already. For now he knew, he was late - very much unlike him.
"Addison! You're late to class! Is there something wrong?" The teacher, Mrs Gwen exclaimed as soon as she set her eyes on him. Max didn't appreciate her loudness at all. Was she really expecting him to say whatever might have been the problem in front of the whole class?
"Nothing. It was just traffic," He simply responded.
As he made for his seat, two familiar stares caught his attention. A small smile broke out on his lips and he moved to sit down.
Max, who was eager to speak with Hillary and Nicole, was waiting for the close of school to get in a proper conversation with the two. Finally, after a long wait, his prayers were heard.
"Hi," Hillary waved as she and Nicole walked towards him.
