"Get back to work niggers!" a white overseer says while swinging his whip. "Please sir, we are working as fast and hard as we can!" a slave says. The white overseer then says "Did I ask how fast you were working boy, I said get back to work, so work faster!" He hits the slave on the back with his whip, and the slaves then start working faster. In the Big House (The house of the plantation) John Carter is getting ready for a fight. "I don't know if I can do this anymore," he says to the slave woman Mary. "You know you have to," Mary says to John as she grabs his hand. "I know, but it hurts. It hurts to fight and it hurts to kill someone." says John. Before Mary speaks Jakari (Head House Nigga) comes bursting into the room. "You ready for your fight nigga?!" John jumps up off of the bed "Yes sir!" he says as he walks out the door with Jakari. As they are walking Jakari says "Now this nigga you are fighting is named Jones Smith he is the top Mandingo in Rosemount; Forkland, Alabama. So this will be a hard fight, but you better win. The master has a lot of money on this fight," They get to the stairs and start walking down. "I'll do my best!" says John. Irritated Jakari says "Nigga you better do more than your best, you don't want to die, do you?!" In a terrified tone John says "Yes sir, I do not want to die!" More calmly Jakari says "Good, now go down there and win this fucking fight " John goes down the stairs and walks to the middle of the room. Joseph Anklen (Owner of Candyland) stands up while saying "Finally! This is my best Mandingo Fighter: John Carter." "Hello sir," John says to Joseph and the other slave master: Green Adams. "So this is your John Carter, I can see why he is your best fighter but he won't stand a chance against my best fighter: Jones Smith!" as Green says that Jones walks out of the shadows. Jones is a 6 foot 7 dark-skinned man who weighs approximately 280 pounds. He is standing over John who is 6 foot 4 weighing 230 pounds. "Okay get ready to fight niggers" says Joseph swaying his hands, making them move into the middle of the room. Green then rings a bell which signals Joseph and John to fight. John gulps as he gets into a fighting stance. Jones rushes at John and tries to punch him but John moves out of the way of the punch and knees Jones in the stomach. The knee barely affects Jones who then punches John in the chest. As John is trying to catch his breath he gets kicked to the ground by Jones. Right, when Jones is about to slam on John, John moves out of the way and Jones hits the floor. John kicks Jones in the ribs as hard as he can, making them break. As Jones gets up he tries to grab John. John kicks Jones in his right femur. Jones lets out a piercing scream of pain and anguish. Jones falls on one knee from the fractured femur bone. As he is on his knee John punches Jones in his face he keeps punching and punching him in the face making his teeth come out and making him bleed profusely from the mouth. "Finish him, boy!" Joseph screams out to John. John wraps his hands around Jones's neck and starts choking him out. Jones tries to punch John off of him but he puts his knee into Jones's crotch making him stop. For the next 4 minutes, he is choking Jones. "He's dead, you can let him go boy," Joseph says to John who then lets go of Jones' neck. John stands up with blood on his hands. "Damn, how could you lose Jones!? Well, I shouldn't have put my fate in just one nigger." Green says as he stands up. Green walks over to the bar and gets a drink. "Good job boy. Clyde!" He yells to the slave who is at the bar. "Yes, Masta!" Clyde says. "Get John a tall beer and give it to Mary so she can take it up to his room." says Joseph to Clyde. "Yes sir!" Clyde says as he pours the drink. "Now go to your room boy and get some rest. Your next fight isn't for another week." Joseph says to John who walks upstairs heading to his room. When John gets to his room Mary is there. "How are you doing John?" she says sincerely to John. "Not good, I didn't like doing that. I can hear Jones screaming still even though I know he's dead." John says as he sits down on his bed. "I know it's a terrible job but you did well today." Mary says while holding John's hands. Mary then gets up and blows out the candlelight. She then sits on his lap and then starts "pleasuring him" as Joseph told her to. As it gets pitch dark outside John and Mary are sleeping with John cuddling with Mary. "Get ready boys Maurice is on the run again!" He says while he and a few other head slavers leap onto horses.
"Outa how many times that boy runs away he never gets killed, I wonder why.
Maybe Masta just likes him, don't worry bout that, it's not our problem."
