Extra in the Student Council
19. A Question?
"Ishigami, you're leaving too? then let's go together"
Yuu also didn't have reason to refuse Shuu, so they left the student council together. They walked in silence for a few seconds before Ishigami was finally unable to hold back his curiosity.
"Katsuragi-senpai—" Yuu called but was cut off by Shuu. "Just call me Shuu, my family name is a bit long."
Yuu nodded at Shuu's words, "then... Shuu-senpai, can I ask you a question?"
Shuu didn't have any clue about what he was going to ask, yet he also didn't mind. "Feel free," he replied.
Receiving the green light, Yuu voiced out his thoughts: "Shinomiya-senpai, Fujiwara-senpai, and Shuu-senpai are childhood friends, right?"
"Hmm," Shuu nodded, "you could say it like that."
"Then why did Shuu-senpai and Fujiwara-senpai call each other by their first names but not Shinomiya-senpai? What is the relationship between you two?" Yuu was only voicing his curiosity; he also knew it was a private matter, so it's very likely for Shuu to refuse to answer.
"Even when we called ourselves childhood friends, we actually only met a few times when we were children," Shuu explained. "We only met Shinomiya frequently in middle school, and as for my relationship with Chika..."

Kaguya watched Shuu and Yuu leave the room together.
(What if….) She fell into deep thought: (What would happen if Katsuragi Shuu was really interested in me…?) Kaguya couldn't help being reminded of the past.
With her photographic memory, Kaguya still remembered it vividly, like it was yesterday.
When they were still children, Kaguya, who had had enough of the Shinomiy family's education, was at her breaking point.
It was a coincidence. There's a party among upper-class families children, and Kaguya finally had a rare time where she wouldn't be monitored. She looked for a place where she could let out her feelings. When she found it, she cried her heart out when an unexpected visitor showed up in front of her.
"You don't have to cry." Kaguya was shocked when she heard someone. She looked up and found none other than Katsuragi Shuu. "Everything will be fine in the future," he said.
Kaguya didn't understand a single thing he meant, but she also quickly showed her tough face to him, as it was how the Shinomiya family taught her.
Shuu stared at her for a moment. "Hmm, if by any chance the butterfly effect affected your future... Let's see, just call me at that time, and I'll lend you a hand or two." He smiled warmly at her as he *pom *pom gently patted her head twice before leaving her.
It was only a single short moment, but it was embedded in Kaguya's heart.
Kaguya softly shook her head and stopped her train of thought. (It was stupid to think of something that will never happen)
On the other hand, Miyuki was relieved that Shuu was only joking with them, but at the same time, it also gave him a reality check. It wouldn't be strange for another man who was interested in Shinomiya to appear. Miyuki started to think about how to make Kaguya confess to him more than ever.
"Everyone from the student council," Fumino called, as the other three looked at her. "What do you guys think of Katsuragi-san?" She asked.
"Why so suddenly?" Kaguya replied. She just decided to stop thinking about Shuu, and now Fumino has asked about him. Kaguya didn't know what to say about this coincidence.
"Well," Fumino said a bit shyly, "he had tutored me a few times, but my impression of him always changed, so I was just curious if the people from the student council also felt the same way as me."
"""Ahh""" They all quickly understood her intention. Because they also felt the same at the beginning.
"He's competent," Miyuki was the first to say. "He sometimes did strange things, but he was also undoubtedly competent. If I were asked to choose to work together with him or not, I would choose to work together with him each time." meanwhile....
"He's annoying" Kaguya didn't hesitate to diss Shuu:."You experienced it yourself just now. He's unquestionably annoying." She didn't give any further explanation because it was obvious to those who had interacted with Shuu.
And the last one is "He's eccentric." Chika voiced out her impression, which instantly made Kaguya and Miyuki look at her.
"Secretary Fujiwara," Miyuki called her. "You're the only one in this room who didn't have the right to say that," he stated.
Chika could only silently accept that. Chika was really unable to refute that. She knew Shuu for a long time, but it wasn't until the fourth grade, when he asked her to teach him piano, that he started to mingle with her. Even with her family, Shuu's eccentricity was leagues above her sisters. For Chika, who believes she's the only normal one in her family, she can't help but think he's eccentric.
"Actually," Fumino said, "I'm interested in Chika-chan's impression the most; after all, it's only Chika-chan who calls Katsuragi-san by his first name. What is your relationship with Katsuragi-san?" She asked, "Ah, it's okay if Chika-chan doesn't want to answer." Fumino quickly added when she realized what she asked was a sensitive matter.
"Ahh, I'm also intrigued by that." Miyuki added, "Of course, it's okay if Secretary Fujiwara doesn't want to answer it." Since they entered student council, Shuu and Chika have always called each other by their first names, now was the perfect chance to relieve his curiosity.
Meanwhile, Ogata Rizu wasn't interested in their conversation. She took out her study book and started to study while waiting for Fumino to finish her business. and Kaguya, who knew the answer, also stayed silent all the time.
Chika let out a cold sweat, being thrown by their enthusiasm. After a few moments of being stared at, Chika sighed, unlike her usual bubbly side (it's not a hidden secret anyway), she gave up.
"We are most likely to be married to each other in the future," Chika said. Her shoulder slumped; she didn't know if it was a good thing or not. Even if they are seriously in love with each other, could it still be called pure love? Or is it just another political marriage?
…..
"Marriage!?" Yuu screamed in surprise, then when he remembered what kind of girl Fujiwara Chika is, "My condolences," he unconsciously added, which instantly got a bonk in the head from Shuu.
"She's not that bad, or even cute," Shuu said. which made Yuu once again look at Shuu incredulously as if he were watching Alien. Which made Yuu once again eat a bonk in the head from Shuu.
"Well, it's a family matter," Shuu added. "Well then, see you again tomorrow." As they had reached the front entrance, Shuu said his goodbye, and they separated. While Yuu spent quite a while there holding his head.
...
Back to the student council's room
""Marriage!?"" Both Miyuki and Fumino had the same reaction as Yuu. "Like a political marriage?" Miyuki asked
Chika nodded dejectedly. "If it wasn't me, it would be my sisters," she replied.
At this time, Fumino and Miyuki didn't know how to react; they just watched the dark side of the upper class right in front of their eyes.
"Well, it will be quite a while before that happens, and the future isn't set yet." Chika brushed it away and acted like her usual self before she pulled Fumino away and went toward Rizu to play a tabletop game with her.
However, Miyuki was unable to brush it away easily. He unconsciously looked toward Kaguya. (Does Shinomiya also have someone like that?) Shuu's joke from before and added this new one from Fujiwara. Miyuki couldn't help but be paranoid about it.
