The Goddess shook, comprehending his question. What did he mean about him? Was he perhaps thinking there was another batch to get blessed? No! All of them should have been blessed, so why was he not included?
Countless disturbing questions caused the Goddess to fall into deep thought. Meanwhile, Lucas stood frozen in his position, for he felt perturbed by the strange myriads of gazes from his classmates.
'What's with their strange gazes? Didn't some also not receive a blessing?'
At this moment, Lucas was also not convinced about his second question. Come to think of it… wasn't he the only one standing on the pristine floor if he recalled correctly? No, there might be some who were hidden by the golden pillar. Yes, it might be.
Lucas tried to convince himself when Michael looked at him with a baffled expression and a hint of concern.
"What do you mean by your question, Lucas?"
Lucas was awakened from the deep contemplation, yet the troubled expression painted on his face did not disappear. Looking at Michael, who called for him, for some reason, made his tense nerves calm down.
Breathing in a vast amount of air, he breathed out as he sorted his chaotic thoughts. Not long later, he answered Michael's question:
"I'm asking the Goddess, her majesty if he is about to bless another batch. You see…" Lucas awkwardly scratched his head and continued, "I did not receive the blessings."
Michael's eyes widened, for he was stunned by what Lucas said. After a bit of shock, he slowly turned his head and swept his gaze to his classmates, trying to discover if someone was waiting for another blessing, just like Lucas.
And he felt unsettled by his classmates' reaction… appearing baffled.
It only indicated that most of them got their blessings, and they were perplexed why Lucas raised such questions when clearly, all of them should have been blessed.
But Michael was still not convinced, not because Lucas stated he did not receive the blessings, but because he thought some had the same cases as Lucas. For clarification, Michael faced his classmates and asked:
"For those who did not receive the blessings, please speak up or raise your hand."
His classmates looked at one another as they slowly heed his request, seeing there was no reason to reject it. And as expected… no one raised their hands or spoke.
Silence descended, and as time passed, the tranquility was not soothing anymore but was so tense instead.
Michael was stupefied to discover that no one seemed to have the same case as Lucas. Slowly turning his head to stare at Lucas, he perceived horror written on his face.
Only now he understood how dire his circumstances might be, and it might even be worse than his classmates who received a Common-Class Title. After all, could Lucas survive without a Title in a world where possessing supernatural abilities was a norm… or even a must?
Absolutely not!
Michael was instantly infuriated and turned to the Goddess, who also appeared baffled by this case. Michel was stunned again, he did not know how many times he was stunned today, but he didn't care.
He wanted an answer directly from the Goddess, and so his piercing glare awakened the Goddess from her deep thought.
"So what do you want?"
The Goddess asked, but internally, she was screaming and hoping that Lucas would not request another blessing. To be honest, this was the first time she experienced this unusual case, even though this was also the first time she summoned humans from another world.
But from what she knew, there was no difference between the humans from another world, precisely the Earth, and from the Dreka world. She even asked the God of Creation if he was the one who created her and the humans of the Dreka world, but she, unfortunately, did not receive an answer.
It only conveyed that she and the humans on the Earth were somewhat correlated… just that they were more advanced than them. After all, they relied on technology while they relied on the Aether.
Therefore, Lucas's case should not have happened, and so she reached a terrifying yet absolutely made sense conclusion. Was that… Lucas could not receive a Title no matter what. It might be a rare or super rare case, as he was the only one who had it, but the Goddess finally reached a decision.
She would not bless Lucas as it would taint her reputation if she failed again.
After all, with the Hero's existence, it was strenuous to control him, especially his annoying character. If she failed and Michael questioned her competence, wouldn't that degrade her reputation? Where would her face go, then?
She wouldn't be surprised if their impression of her was low enough not to show respect to her in front of the humans in the Dreka World. And… where would her face go?
She worked her way hard to become a Goddess from being a mortal.
And she enjoyed her position a lot.
She absolutely would not want to let it disappear in a single careless decision. Consequently, she decided to refuse Lucas if he requested to get blessed again.
…Even if Michael would be displeased with her, she didn't care. There was still another Mythical Class student among them, and some or maybe most of the Legendary Class students respected her. She did not want to let the Hero destroy her plan again.
Michael has a deep resentment toward her after her decision? Then, she also felt the same way about the Hero!
After a second of contemplating and reaching a resolution, she was waiting for Lucas's response, who was hesitating, and was startled when Michael replied on his behalf:
"Isn't it obvious? He wants to get another blessing if what he said is true!"
The Goddess gazed at him, and her expression drooped and shook her head. Despite her expression leaning too negative, she was still beautiful nonetheless.
"If what he said is true, then it's unfortunate I have to decline his, no, your request."
Michael's expression twisted in exasperation, and he couldn't think straight because of his extreme emotions. He couldn't even think of a solid argument to question her decision.
He could only grind his teeth and clench his fist tightly as he forced his mouth to ask:
"W-Why?"
