AUTHOR'S POV
It was then when Helena turned to Iaso. "Thank you", she smiled.
"No wonder our Haelan is safe, Sir Stellan is here", Jacomus grinned. .
The mood suddenly changed after a certain name was mentioned. "What… did you just call her?", Althea's blood boiled in a flash when she heard the famous name that caused the ruckus in Wicce. "Did you just say Haelan?!", she clenched her fists with heightening anger.
"Damn it", Stellan mumbled as if they were caught in a game of hide and seek. He wanted to pull Helena back to his side but she's a bit distant right now.
Iaso hardened her jaw as the situation have come to this. The involvement of a Celestial Healer according to her plans isn't an open knowledge to all Wiccans, for not everyone is very welcoming and open-minded to such idea. Dropping their torches, the warlocks all stood on high alert surrounding Helena, who's apparently standing by her friends.
"Iaso, do you know this?", Althea confronted the coven leader who looked nonchalant but obviously guilty. "All along, we welcomed Agalea who's actually Haelan, a soul traveler possessing her body, and lined us all in a death row?", she channeled all her anger and disgust in the lines on her forehead and tight lips.
"Iaso, I guess it's time for you to clear things up with your people", Stellan said as he pick up a tree branch with the size of his arm.
"We'll shall take this matter privately and rationally like how we always do", Iaso offered to discuss such important matter in her cottage.
"Uhh… looks like Haelan messed up with them first", Ottis said as the warlocks surround them with a more serious look on their faces. The same exact expression before these Wiccans knocked them out and woke up tied and bound.
"Haelan, do you mind moving away from us for a second? They might hit us if they aim at you. I don't want to be eletrocuted anymore", Jacomus pouted his thick lips to a farther direction for Helena to go to.
"Quit it Jac, and do something," Atrius worriedly said as he place Helena behind him. Stellan clenched his grip on the branch he's holding as he lour over Atrius who's trying to protect Helena, when it's supposed to be him doing that.
"Wait, Master Haelan is a girl?", Umbriel uttered that made everyone give a look at Helena except for Atrius who already knew the truth. Helena just gave everyone a side eye.
"No! We shall deal with this right now", Althea said as she lifted her hand with crooked fingers towards Helena. At the same time the warlocks commenced their own abilities at Althea's command.
Ignoring her friends whose eyes are peeling her on her gender, Helena shifted her gaze on the warlocks. She noticed that they are making triangular movements with their hands, as if they are preparing to cast a spell. Mumbling unintelligible words, she could tell that they aren't playing and they meant serious trouble.
"Wiccans! Get a hold of yourselves. She is not our enemy", Iaso tried to calm her people, but not one Wiccan listened.
Struggling with their spells, the warlock grunted heavily wondering why their electrifying magic, even performed altogether, doesn't seem to affect Helena at all. Watching how useless the warlocks were, Althea, whom posesses the power of moving inanimate things, lifted heavy rocks with a plan to aim at Helena.
Jac, Ottis and Atrius stepped forward, as they cover Helena from harm. "Bring it on, Witch", Ottis dared as he swallowed a lump in his throat. They all receded behind Jac when more larger rocks started to levitate.
"Hey Haelan, you can use your magic right?", Jac whispered nervously. Those floating rocks that are aimed at them are quite big, that it will surely break their bones if thrown at them.
"Maybe yes, maybe no", Helena replied vaguely wondering if the power of the wind can handle those rocks. Jac slid back, right behind Helena.
"I guess, we're all going to die today then. Hooray", Ottis shook his head as the tension among the Wiccans, Stellan and Helena arise.
Stellan started tossing and catching the branch repetitively with one hand. "No one wants to get hurt", he warned as the warlocks instantly ceased from casting a spell with their hands, except for Althea. "Anyone who touches Haelan, will answer to my sword… or branch", he warned.
"Stellan", Iaso called out Stellan not to get himself involved.
"Do you think that will stop us, paladin?", Althea held her head up high with so much pride.
"I'll make sure it will", Stellan lifted his brows in provocation.
"No, please! It doesn't have to be this way", Helena blurted out as she worry about the Wiccans against the paladin. But, the Wiccans seemed to have no plans of backing down.
"We do not need to waste our abilities here", Iaso continued to implore peace as Stellan start to ignite his aura in his fists. "Everybody stand down", she knew that now Stellan have engaged, he will surely won't miss a hit on her vulnerable warlocks before they even attempt to make a single move on Helena.
"You tell that to them", Helena pointed to the warlocks who were all mumbling chants again. With sweat dripping in their foreheads, the warlocks have been wondering why their powers doesn't seem to affect Helena, when they have elevated their ability at their maximum power. . Looking at Althea's eyes, Helena knew nothing can stop the angered Wiccan.
Helena then called the roots of the trees, and let them creep in while the ground shook. Stellan curved his lips as he witness Helena's celestial powers. Ottis and Jac cheered at the back, as they place their absolute trust on Helena against the furious Wiccans. Atrius can't help but worry for his friend as he stay close. As for Umbriel, he prayed and prayed that may all of these be over.
"I can only calm after this!", Althea shouted as she send the gravels towards Helena and her friends. With both hands in mid air, the Wiccan sent all the rocks of varied sizes forward with such a heavy force. Instantly, Helena called the power of the wind as it whirl violently around her and her peers, like some form of a shield. Her friends kept their heads down as the violent wind surround them. With Helena controlling the earth at the same, the creeping roots spiraled on the warlocks' bodies, wrapping their arms and feet disrupting their chants.
"Althea! No!", Iaso ordered as she prepare her counter magic. However, Stellan unleashed his aura on the branch that he picked up making an energy sword. With one swing, he crushed all the rocks in pebbles. When his aura radiated within the reach of Helena's air magic, a giant spark of electricity lined in their air like lightning that dropped everyone's jaws.
With all of her magic used, Althea dropped on one knee as she catch her breath heavily. Her face was scratched with a sharp piece of a rock that flew back from the whirlwinds. The warlocks stayed on the ground with the roots pining them down, as they call for help.
"Keep it down, Stellan!! Helena, control yourselves!!", Iaso implored the paladin and the celestial healer to ceasefire. In all actual, the coven leader was too impressed to witness the great power the two possess when together, something that she have seen before. She finally found the invincible pair to lead the war against Celeste and Argus.
