"Alright, students I need silence". The redhead lady at the front of the classroom commanded.
The class instantly became silent, from my 2 weeks of being in Rockland high school I've learned that no one pisses off Mrs.Hart.
"Now where did we stop?". she asked and I slowly stopped paying attention.
My grades have drastically gone down and I know my mum is upset about that, but hey I'm trying my best. We moved from California all the way here to Florida two weeks ago, and I really did have high hopes that I'll be able to put everything behind me and move on, but it seems like it has gotten even worst.
I'm in my last year of high school and my present grades will determine if I'll be able to get into college, but from what I'm looking at, my grades are taking me nowhere close to college.
But if moving to Florida didn't help my condition how sure am I that going to college will be of any help. When I think about it, going to college is probably not going to be the best idea.
Me all alone in a building filled with hundreds of guys and girls, using the same bathroom, hell na!
But then again if I don't at least try to get in, mum would think that I'm returning to how I was back in California and she'll try to talk me into going for that stupid counseling thing again, that's the last thing I need. I love my mum a lot and seeing her always so concerned about me breaks my heart. I most certainly won't be among the list of heartbreakers my mum had.
Fingers began snapping so close to my eyes that I was sure they were going to poke me.
"Young lady, YOUNG LADY!". yelled Mrs. Hart.
I looked up and quickly looked back down. with the way she was glaring at me, one would think I committed murder.
You could hear a pin drop in the hushed classroom as everyone's eyes were on me.
I let out a quiet 'sorry ma'am'.
Soon school was over, I picked up my bag and exited the last class of the day.
I made my way out of school and just when I was about to reach my rusty little car someone yelled.
"AYE BLONDIE WATCH OUT!"
But it was too late as a ball came in hard contact with the side of my face sending me to the cold ground instantly.
"what the hell". I groaned caressing my now sore face....just great.
"Woah! that was some hit huh?". A guy I recognized to be the leader of our school's basketball team said as he helped me up.
"no kidding". I glared at him.
"I'm so sorry, are you alright? you weren't there when I threw the ball, I'm so so sorry I probably should have looked while kicking it". He rambled on.
Well, unlike most schools, the basketball team here is actually pretty cool, the leader, which is this guy, is really nice compared to any or every other high school ever, and that's basically what attracts most girls to him, I mean that's if you overlook his hotness.
"It's okay, I'm fine". I said withdrawing my hand from his.
"Cool, so do you need a ride". he asked scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh no, I brought my car I'll drive". I said avoiding eye contact, it feels like the guy is staring into my soul. Mon Dieu those eyes.
"You sure? I mean that ball did hit you pretty hard". He pointed out.
"No, it's fine". I said starting to get uncomfortable, I don't know why this hotness is showing so much concern but it's starting to get me all flustered, and I don't do flustered.
"YO JASON, YOU COMING OR WHAT". Yelled another hot basketballer.
"JUST A MINUTE". Jason yelled back. His name is Jason, noted.
"Alright then, if you insist that you're fine then I guess I should get going". he said with a soft smile.
Being the flustered idiot that I am I remained silent and just stared.
With an unsure look, he said, "Okay then, see you later". and jogged back to his team. I stared after him till he was out of sight and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
See you later?
I think not.
With a sigh, I walked back to my rusty car and got in.
I reversed and drove out of the school feeling exceptionally drained.
Unfortunately, mom won't be at home by the time I get there cause she's on the afternoon shift.
Life sucks...
