The short drive back to his manor late at night was punctuated with the roaring of the steam engine and the occasional cricket sounds as Duke Fitzgerald busied himself reminiscing about the events over the past few weeks.
Keeping in touch with his contacts, he'd made sure to get them interested enough in the venture with Victoria without informing them of what it entailed.
He knew that exposing it too early could lead to… unfortunate happenings and it was best to avoid such.
Soon, the car parked at the driveway with the door opening a moment later to reveal Fenwick standing in wait.
"Ah, Fenwick." The Duke remarked as he stepped down from the car.
"How was the meeting, master?"
"It shows promise. Though they are still curious to find out what the merchandise is, I have made sure that they would be willing to pay good coin for it." Fitzgerald replied as he was escorted by Fenwick into the main building.
