Douglas sat in a lotus position, his breathing measured as he performed deep meditation with silence keeping him company.
Time slowly ticked by before he finally opened his eyes, a complicated expression etched on his unblemished visage.

"What is?" A voice suddenly inquired causing Douglas to snap his neck toward the room door where Victoria stood, her gaze zeroed on his figure.
"Master." He immediately greeted her as he got to his feet to pay homage only for Victoria to stop him.
"There's no longer a need for that. I am not your master, we are subordinates now, serving the Dark Lord."
"... I understand."
"Speaking of the Dark Lord, I am here at his behest. He wishes to know how far you've gone in your enlightenment."
