Victoria stared at the Witch of Fables, ecstatic by just how powerful she'd become and the potential she held.
Unfortunately, her joy was short-lived as a series of howls echoed from the city below.
"They must have noticed the commotion," Victoria muttered with her nose scrunched in faint annoyance.
Meanwhile, Alex remained silent, his gaze fixed on the Witch of Fables who seemed to be studying him.
Moments later, a feminine voice with a rather soothing effect echoed in his mind.
I have been waiting for you.
Alex frowned as he muttered. "Is that so?"
Indeed. I still remember when I gave the prophecy about your appearance, o great Dark Lord.
"Because of that prophecy, I had quite a bit of a problem."
I apologize. It wasn't my intention.
"You look like you want to tell me something." Alex decided to speak up, considering the Witch wasn't willing to do so.
