As Alex soaked in the bathtub with cold and hot water flowing out of the taps, merging for a perfectly warm temperature, he couldn't help but let out a sigh at how refreshing it felt.
How long had it been since he had such a nice bath?
He had been so efficient these last few days, it was truly troublesome.
Chuckling softly, he mused. "Aren't I being a bit too lazy?"
At that moment, he seemed to hear the voice of his ever-loving wife, Isabella as the memory of a conversation they once had, came flooding back.
Closing his eyes, he listened carefully.
[There's no need to overwork yourself. Work is done and now you are home. Enough with the alert state, enough with keeping one eye open when sleeping… just relax.]
It was almost like he was catapulted back to his home on Earth.
The lavender scent that was ever present in his home lingered in the air, almost making him believe he was back there, away from the troubles of the new world.
