Orpheus disappeared from his position and ran towards Marios with a trail of fire behind him. On reaching Marios, he swung his scythe above his head only for it to get parried by Marios.
~His strength has increases~ Marios rubbed his numb arm
"Don't lose your focus" the scythe in Orpheus hand turned into two crossbows. The crossbows shot five arrows each at Marios.
"The f***" Marios almost lost his footing when the scythe had morphed into the two crossbows but was still fast enough o raise an earth wall to block the arrows.
Meanwhile, the weapon transformation shocked the audience once more, leaving them with wide eyes and open jaws.
"What just happened?"
"The scythes just transformed into crossbows. Are my eyes playing tricks on me?"
"Shit! Is that an ability? It's pretty cool"
"It seems Marios is cornered now"
"I doubt. He still has four elements in his arsenal"
"Oh yeah. He's only used fire, earth, lightning, and gravity"
"Is that an ability?" Mr. Stylianos muttered "What in fate's name was that?"
"Now I see what he meant by surprise" Andrian said "It is Cosmos. That's his trump card"
While everyone was discussing, Orpheus had already exchanged a number of rounds with Marios after transforming the crossbows into retractable swords.
"Your weapon looks nice" Marios stared at the swords while panting heavily "But, they're mine now"
The swords flew out of Orpheus hands and went towards Marios.
"Telekinesis? To think he also has that one" Orpheus frowned before grinning.
"Wipe that stupid grin off your face, brat" Marios growled "anyways, that doesn't matter now as I've got some new blades. You'd better surrender"
"Ya think. Cosmos!" Orpheus called out and the swords disappeared in mid-air and appeared in his hands. "Die"
He swung the swords at Marios, extending them with the intention to tie him up. Marios waved his hands at them and they bounced back immediately. He then shot a torrent of wind at Orpheus, sending him out of the stage.
"Orpheus has left the stage for the first time" Mr. Stylianos announced, making the audience to cheer loudly.
"I told you before," Marios snickered, "you will not be able to touch me"
"Seriously?" a voice said from behind Marios before the latter was sent flying out of the stage.
"Uuuoooohhhhhh!" the audience shouted loudly
"Marios has left the stage for the first time"
"You seem to forget something" Orpheus snickered "I have two elements"
"And I have eight" a voice said in Orpheus ear before a punch landed on his face
"Camouflage?! He also has light?" Orpheus held his jaw in pain.
"I have to say," Marios appeared in the middle of the stage "You've pissed me off big time"
Lightning and fire began to flicker on his palm while a large pink portal appeared behind him.
~Dual casting? Wait, what's that?" the appearance of the pink gate startled Orpheus and the rest of the audience.
"Is that a special psychic element?"
"How would I know? It looks string by the way"
"Shit! It's the summoning element! How did he get that?"
"Summoning? What's that?"
"It's a new element that was discovered by the World Research Center"
"Yeah, I heard about it. If you have it, you can summon any type or number of beasts you want. But the strength and number you can summon depends on your energy pool"
"Whoah!"
*Roar*
Roars and growls of beasts sounded from the pink gate, silencing everyone in the stadium. Suddenly, an 8ft one-horned gorilla stepped out of the gate with more behind it
"Hey, I'm gonna have to create a barrier around the stage" Mr. Stylianos yelled at his fellow instructors "come over here!"
After it seemed the horde of gorillas had finished emerging, a 12ft two-horned gorilla stepped out of the gate
"Is this a duel or a murder scene I'm about to witness right now?"
"The duel should be ended before this academy loses promising student"
"It cannot be ended until Orpheus concedes or is conscious. The rules don't favor him at all"
The spectators entered a heated discussion, guessing the outcome of the duel and Orpheus' supposed fate.
~What do I do now?~ Orpheus gritted his teeth while staring at the horde of monsters before him. He knows that he cannot fight such a massive number of monsters without relying on his other elements. Also, all the one-horned gorillas where all 1-star beast apart from the two-horned one which was a 2-star beast.
[Orpheus, act like you just awakened the wind element and fly as high as possible]
~Is that even an option? He has the gravity element~ Orpheus sighed in frustration ~the light element is out of the question because of the contrastive elements. My only option right now is lightning~
[Using lightning is impossible, as it is a rare element nowadays]
"You've gotten yourself in deep shit, brat" Aster said inwardly while staring at the Orpheus, and then the pack of gorillas
"Accept your defeat Orpheus," Marios yelled before condensing fire and lightning in his palm and shooting it at him
