I know it must be difficult for Kaede, having to just sit around and wait for Mell, which is why I've been working with Sicily and Lillian in helping Kaede understand how to inject her mana into other sources of mana.
In the beginning, it wasn't going all that well as months go by without any sign of progress. Of course we couldn't just only focus on this as we do still need to attend school, but since Kaede and I essentially know what's coming, we breezed through the tests with ease, surprising everyone around us. For the most part I still sleep in my parents house back in the human world, considering that my mother Iris is still busy getting everything sorted out on her end. But I have to say-
Yui: "I'll say it every time, but it's quite annoying having to go all the way to that mountain."
Now home, I collapse onto the bed after saying goodnight to my parents, of course Kaede being with me as well.
Kaede: "Well it'd spell trouble if anyone here finds out."
Yui: "Yeah..."
I can just imagine what would happen if somehow both worlds collide. Monsters appearing here would spell an all out war, hell maybe even demi-humans. Thankfully the humans in this world can't actually use the magic crest, so there's no worries about people here going to that world with all their guns, tanks and so forth. That said...
Yui: "But don't you think it'd be fun?"
Kaede: "You're crazy."
Yui: "Think about it though! Like imagine everyone's faces when they realize that giants exist, and orcs, dragons even!"
Kaede: "Hehe, and vampires."
Yui: "That too!"
Kaede: "I get it. It would be fun seeing everyone freak out. But you know what will actually happen, right?"
Yui: "Mm."
We both continue to chat like this while staring up into the ceiling in wonder.
Yui: "Yeah... I don't think this world is ready for something like that."
Kaede: "Hey, but we could bring your parents over from this world to the other one?"
Yui: "I actually thought about that, haha. But I figured I'd focus on teaching you mana injection."
That's the term I came up with. It's not far off with what Sicily and Lillian does, however I did learn that with Sicily and Lillian, they're magic isn't so much as injection, but more so like their mana is already in the trees. At least that's how they explained it. As for me, I have to forcefully inject my mana, taking over magic in the process. It kind of makes me seem quite barbaric which to be honest I'm not too thrilled about.
Kaede: "Yeah but I still don't get how you control it."
Yui: "At least you know how to dispel it though!"
At some point during our time teaching Kaede, she accidentally blew up Fleur's wind magic, dispersing it in all directions. We were all excited at the sudden progress, but Kaede hasn't advanced passed that in over a year now.
Kaede: "True... It is quite handy."
Yui: "Mm! You're like half way there!"
Kaede: "But I still think the reason why is that my mana is just too potent."
That's the current theory among all of us, since as we were teaching Kaede, Selene also tried to learn as well. She also couldn't control anything before the magic blew up. As for Fleur and Faye, they're still trying to learn mana sense. I never knew it was such a hard skill to learn, so I honestly feel a bit bad having skipped over learning such a thing.
Yui: "But don't you think that makes us a pretty good team? Like you can use your super ultra powerful magic, and I can take over any magic coming our way."
Kaede: "Hehe, yeah I was thinking something like that as well."
Yui: "Right? Oh! It's the weekend tomorrow, what were you thinking on doing?"
Kaede: "Emi and Maria wanted to hang out tomorrow, but I honestly wanna go back to the other world. Haah~ Maybe I should also bring them over? Hehe."
Yui: "I mean, we could? I can tell that Maria's been questioning us ever since that time you turned me into a vampire."
Kaede: "Hmmm."
Yui: "Plus didn't you say she did a cosplay of an elf for a convention recently? How do you think she'd react when she discovers Sicily and Lillian!"
Kaede: "Alright, hehe. I'll bring them over. But you do know we'll have to fly them over you know."
Yui: "Wait, you're serious?!"
I was expecting her to say no to that idea, but is Kaede actually serious? I was half joking...
Kaede: "I was thinking about this for a while. I also want to bring my mom here over to that world as well."
Yui: "You're crazy."
Kaede: "Pfft. Well I just don't like keeping secrets with people I care about. So I figured it was probably time."
Her smile softens as she says that, looking to be content with the idea. If she's really comfortable with it, then I'll just have to support her decision.
Yui: "Hmmm. But then who am I carrying over then?"
Kaede: "We could do rock paper scissors?"
Yui: "Pfft."
Kaede: "What? Too childish?"
Yui: "No, just that I remembered that time when we raced on the dirt track."
Kaede: "Ah~ Yeah, it's been a while, huh. Sorry that I cheated, hehe."
Yui: "It's fine~ Even if I was a vampire back then, I would've lost."
Even now, Kaede is on another level when it comes to pure speed and strength, especially when she's serious.
Yui: "Anyways! Yeah, let's play."
Kaede: "Then who would the loser take?"
Yui: "Maybe Emi?"
Kaede: "Alright."
And so, our battle commences, and the verdict?
Kaede: "So I got Maria. Cool."
Yui: "..."
Kaede: "Fufufu. Good luck~"
I can imagine what it'll be like... Maria will be like putty in Kaede's hands, meanwhile I can see Emi wiggling around like crazy.

Tomorrow came by, but as Kaede and I are both vampires, we stayed up throughout the night idly chatting about what today's going to be like. And in no time at all, we met up with Emi and Maria.
Emi: "Hey guys~"
Maria: "Good morning~"
Yui/Kaede: "Morning~"
We exchange greetings. Emi is dressed in her usual revealing attire, with Maria taking on a more modest look with a long skirt, unlike Emi's short length one.
Emi: "So? Where we headed?"
Kaede: "Well~ About that."
They look at Kaede in confusion but as Kaede and I began walking, both of them followed suit.
Eventually, we arrived in a dense part of the dirt track, trees obscuring us. There's still people walking down it so Kaede and I are waiting for the right time. Honestly, Kaede and I talked up a big game about today, but now that we're actually here doing this, I'm beginning to freak out a bit.
Emi: "Don't tell me we're running? We've done enough of that this week~"
Maria: "I-I'm not dressed for it either..."
Kaede: "Don't worry. We're not running anywhere."
Just then, Kaede looks to me as our eyes meet before she gives me a nod. Wait... We're doing this now?!
Yui: "S-sorry!"
In sync with one another, Kaede and I latch onto both Maria and Emi, hiding their faces in our chests.
Emi: "H-hey! Yui!~ What's this?"
And in the next instant, both Kaede and I grow out our wings before flying as fast as we could up into the air. Why did we do it like this? Well, Kaede was a bit scared with revealing our wings to them, so we devised this plan to force them into the sky, and once we're up there, they'll be a lot less likely to want to free themselves.
Emi: "W-w-w-w-what?!"
Maria: "..."
Once we were high enough in the air, Kaede and I both adjust our hold on the two of them as we both carry them under their back and legs; the standard safety princess carry.
Kaede: "I'm sorry that we've been hiding this from you, but please listen."
Emi: "Wh-what the hell are you on about- wait! You have wings?!"
Emi has just noticed after looking out from my arms and towards Kaede. Maria on the other hand is still shocked, remaining silent as she takes in the sight. Yeah... Kaede has the easier job here...
Kaede: "I know you might be scared, but don't worry. I'll explain everything once we arrive."
Emi: "What the hell? No, you explain this right now! Why do you have wings?!"
Kaede: "Because we're vampires, hehe."
She just said it... She just said it so casually as well, not even missing a beat. And Emi also seems to be shocked as she tries to process her words.
Kaede: "Okay, Yui! Let's go!"
Yui: "Yup!"
Taking Emi's silence as the go-ahead, we begin flying towards the mountain, towards the other world. Both Emi and Maria clutch at our clothes, not wanting to fall, but there's definitely a difference between the two. Maria I can see has a bright smile on her face as she takes in the sight. Emi on the other hand is a lot more fearful. I try to comfort her by holding her close, but she refuses to look out like Maria and instead hides her face in my chest. Honestly, I didn't know Emi could be this cute. Maybe she's afraid of heights? Thinking that, I make sure I hold her firmly, tightening my grasp around her as we continue to fly.
