After a while, the same two bouncers from before came in with a plate of food and some drinks for us.
It seemed that it would still take some time for Puffer to get the things that I asked for, so we would just have to wait.
Ariel didn't seem to notice at all that food had been brought in as she was still lost in thought.
Then all of a sudden, she looked at me and said, "What do you know about the sea witches?"
I was caught off guard by this, but I calmly said, "I don't know that much. I just have some understanding of them because of their dealings with the human countries before. I don't know as much as you think I do."
Ariel narrowed her eyes to look at me as if she didn't believe me, but I just calmly looked right back at her without any traces of emotion.
I wouldn't give her anything, even if she was scrutinizing me.
This was something that I was already used to from my time dealing with my wives.
