Ji Sung closed his table as Yuki tied Wingse to a large tree.
It was Ji Sung's first quest, and his adrenaline boiled up. This is not a game. He could have died there. But he wanted to see the real Goblin, which he usually slew in the game.
"Nervous, my friend?" Yuki smiled, passing a dagger to Ji Sung. "Not much, but better than bare hands, right."
"How does this quest system work anyway?" He was shocked when Wedge threw the pelvic bag on him. Then, Fatzo Biggs and Thin Titus. Three large pelvic bags buried him.
"Someone gave the agency a quest, paid the reward in advance plus tax." -Yuki pulling one pelvic bag- "Then the agency put that quest on board, and everyone who took the quest must be registered. For those who cleared the quest first, must report back to the agency, and grab the reward." he lends a hand, helping Ji Sung back to his feet.
"So, is that the responsibility of the Traveler Association?"
Yuki shocked his head again and again. "Nope, they are only one of the agencies. There are many agencies out there, and you can directly accept quests from others. But it is dangerous. For example, if you do the quest from the government and then he refuses to pay, you can push him, yet, the law will hunt you down because you are attacking him. So yeah, the agency is the way, ya."
"Then why do we do the quest? We can report back even if we didn't do a quest, right?"
"And if they find out, you will be banned, and they will put a bounty on your head. New quest for everyone, ya."
'Hurry up, Porter!" Wedge waved in the forest. "Shake your bloody legs! And Yuki, ensure noob don't run away with our baggage."
Nice idea. Ji Sung should run with their belongings. They enter The forest and follow the path. Those three men laughing, chatted as if they didn't fear anything.
"If I let you guys do the quest, and I return to the quest giver and claim the reward, what happens, then?"
"You must show the proof. A picture would work. Or, bring something from the thing you do. For example, if the quest asks you to hunt a Minotaur, you can take a picture yourself or bring a Minotaur head, ear, or something that proves you have already done the quest."
Ji Sung was panoplied his mind seriously about it. "If someone comes and robs me on the way after the quest?"
"What, have you tried to do one?" Yuki stud.
"Nah, just asking. I am curious about how the quest works. And yeah, I tried to find a weakness to prepare for."
"Then that's bad luck. That is why this thing is dangerous. You can't trust everyone, especially those you meet on the way."
That explained everything, why they didn't help Ji Sung back then. Perhaps they worried about being robbed. Yet, Rinoa helped him anyway.
"Hey Yuki, Titus' baby will be born soon. He wants you to suggest a baby name." Wedge slows his pace.
"I said, give him the name Hepatitis," Biggs said as he mirthfully. "Sounded like Titus."
"How about Herpes instead, you Dick Head!" Titus smacked Biggs' head from behind.
After roughly thin, Yuki gave his answer. "Hmm, Masahiro?"
"That to the Japanese," Wedge said. "Hey, noob, any idea?"
"No, I have no Idea. I'm bad at giving names." He sure didn't have skill on that one. Even when Yeon adopted a cat, he failed to name him.
Guess these men were not evil at all. They have their mind and family who are waiting for them back home. They were just cautious about Ji Sung early.
This was a good world for adventuring, a dream world to live in, yet, he needed to go home fast. He can't disappoint Mom by failing to study. He can't skip more days at work.
The buzzing came from the forest. Strange dragonflies floated following them. It is not a regular butterfly that Ji Sung typically sees on Earth. It was made from aluminum, with a peculiar eye that studied Ji Sung and his companies.
"What's wrong, Shrimp?" Wedge noticed Ji Sung was always looking up into the sky.
"They're a strange dragonfly floated there, following us."
Titus jeered. "There are no dragonflies on Terra, Noobie. Never been one either."
"I am not lying. There, see for yourself." Ji Sung pointed out where the dragonfly was, but it was already gone.
Titus smacked his head from behind. "Perhaps our eyes are playing a trick on you. Have you eaten yet?"
Ji Sung realized his grumbling belly was uncontrollable. "Ah, not yet." his face hotted as they found out about it. He wanted to hide and buried his face.
"Damn boy, are you so hungry until you see a dragonfly?" Wedge jocund patted Ji Sung's back.
"Now and then, I notice that quaked voice but can't pinpoint where it comes from. Now, I realize it came from you!" Biggs blithe as he passed a bread. "There, one silver coin. Pay me later, Noobie."
The bread tasted strange, it was droud, yet it was so yummy and filled his belly just right. Yuki gave his water container to Ji Sung drinking.
They merrily journey to Ormit Cave. After a few minutes, they came to their destination. They gathered on the buah as they grabbed their weapon, preparing for the quest.
Ji Sung readied his dagger, yet Wedge pulled him back. "We need someone to guard our belongings. If you dare to run away, I guarantee we will find you and make sure you remember never to cross us."
"Porter, you stay here," said Biggs. "And don't come closer. If we didn't return within two hours, you returned to Moonlake and reported, understood?"
"But I can fight. I can do Judo." Ji Sung wanted to join them. They wanted to taste how to fight a goblin, yet, Yuki caressed his shoulder.
"We need someone to stay. You didn't bring much equipment for the quest. Stay here."
"Yeah, don't be a burden," Wedge continued, as he ducked, closing the gap to the cave."
