Ji Sung astonished as an average human would be. He rarely saw the walking dead, except from a TV series that ended severely in season 11 many years ago, a series that everyone forgot about.
"Aa… A…." He even fails to scream as his words purge on oblivion.
White eyes, cold white skin, no breath, nothing. But the dead startled Ji Sung, perhaps trying to say, you kill me, bastard, you rob me of the sun's warmth! Now, pay! Pay for your sin!
"So… Sorry. I…I" Ji Sung shuttered as he renounced his own sin. "I…I am a killer, but, but, I can explain everything. You do you, I do I. It is not a sin, not me, no. Yuki, Yuki said that, not me. I am sorry."
Before he could end that sentence, the dead left him—the other dead followed. Even the goblin rose and went. They didn't have an interest in life being, perhaps, Ji Sung didn't know.
Heb thanks to every god this world had, for every second they spared his life. He found his friend not moving.
"No, no, don't join them on, not on my watch, Yuki."
Hastily he slammed Yuki in check. No use. His eyes kept close thick as his mouth opened wide. "Yuki, Yuki, wake up. Goddamid, don't let me be here alone!" But at least he kept breathing.
He could stay here, or bring Yuki back to Wingse. But the dead were real. Yuki could use some rest here.
Ji Sung followed those dead out of the cave. He was not prepared to see snow drop from the clouded sky, there was a thin layer on the ground already when he pulled a sword and shield, guess the dead abandoned their weapon.
Ji Sung sought the foot print and found those dead walking toward the same direction, the forest.
"What is going on?"
He didn't know about this change of climate. There wasn't any snow before, now everything whitted. It is normal or not, but his curiosity urged him, shadowing those dead.
Ringing of the bell jizzed from the forest, guiding those dead toward something. It is clear in his ears, yet he fails to pinpoint the exact location.
He almost lost the track, he pushed his legs forward, held his shield and sword thick.
Half Ji Sung's heart said to turn back and forget everything that happened, yet the other pushed him to keep tracking to find out what was going on.
A soft voice imbued his ears. "Ji Sung." he gasped, turning to where voice came from.
Rinoa approached Ji Sung while keeping an eye on the situation, leaving a trail on thin snow that started getting thick by the click of a clock.
"What happened?" Ji Sung asked in unison as she asked the same question.
"Why are you here?" Ji Sung added more.
"I'm worried you got into trouble. Why are you leaving me in the Mansion?"
"You bussy, so I'll go alone."
What happened here is so creepy." She meant those dead who kept walking even without a head. "Let's leave, where is Yuki? We must bring him back."
"You know Yuki?"
"Yeah, I met Wedge and others on the way here."
The bell rang again. Ji Sung and Rinoa exchanged worried gazes. They debated for a while, before dominated by curiosity, both started tailing those dead toward a source of strange bell ringing.
There, a bald man in a dark blood robe stood like a statue. Beneath him, a red pentagram grows thick. Two men with a staff and a bell on it. As they tugged a bit, the bell rang.
The dead gathering around the bald man. "For thou who sek a power, yet privie to grasp. For thou loyal to the truth, Horus shall cleanse, dragon shough the sky! Raise Horus horde, Chaos to the previle. Clean this world from bad blood!"
The dead gathered, lying at the feet of a Bald man, forming a pentagram. The remaining stood like a tree, doing nothing.
"The dead were the beginning. The future was awaiting. Come, give me your bathing!"
One by one the dear spoud, the dead boomed and their blood sucked by pentagram. Slowly the pentagram glimmered by red and the portal showed up there.
Strong current blew his robe up, bringing the dead float as the gate of death opened. The death that stood, slowly limped, throwing himself onto the gate of death.
Dark hand rose from the pentagrab, grabbing the frame of it. Like someone tried to go out from the pool without a ladder, the hand pushed.
It's all new for Ji Sung. "Is it some kind of magic?"
"Shh, don't make sudden noises." She then explained everything she knew. "That man must be doing some ritual to call the force of Chaos. We must hurry."
"Hurry what?"
"Canceling his magic, dummy." Rinoa pushed her ring, and from the thin air, white sword emerged on her palm.
Rinoa notices something on Ji Sung. "Ee? Your weapons?"
"Yes? Anything wrong with my weapon?"
Rinoa was shocked and returned her eyes to the dead. "Ji Sung, if you are not sure you can fight, stay behind. Let me handle this."
//Ability activated//
//Sword proficiency +950//
"this girl, so strong."
Rinoa shittered. "What did you just say?"
"This sword is so strong." Even Wedge had only 300 weapon proficiency, yet, Rinoa got almost 1000. What kind of training does she do?
Ji Sung returned to those walking dead. How could he stop the bad creation?"
And yet, he noticed the same dragonfly floated beside him. After taking a closer look, he was sured, that dragonflies were spycraft. But, who sent that and why?
"Ji Sung, listen. I don't know anything about your capability. Buy, try eliminating those two over there. I will take that bald man by my own hand. Can you do that?"
"I will try."
"Alright, on my mark of three. One, two, three."
In unison Rinoa and Ji Sung dashes and strandles those strange men. They were unprepared for a surprise attack. Yet, the bald man smiled.
