His anger, his hopelessness, his lack of power...they all resounded within his mind, slowly corrupting his mind. He could feel it; the more time he spent in this place, reliving his memories, the more he would be affected when he came back to the real world.
He felt, saw, smelled, and heard through the body of his past self. However, no matter how much he wanted to move or talk to his inner self, he couldn't.
'What's happening?' Aiden thought, frustration slowly getting the better of him.
He was simply a bystander looking at the situation through his past self's eyes. It felt weird, and he had never imagined himself to be back there in his room, watching the television.
Then, his body, which was sat on his thin and cheap mattress, stood up, heading for the door.
