That smile was terrifying from Aiden's point of view. It was as if Lucius had already anticipated everything.

He just had a feeling, and it seemed that he wasn't wrong because as soon as his dagger arrived close to his neck, Lucius literally disappeared, just like what happened when he had first tried to attack him.
It was as if, he had some sort of defense for deadly attacks or something similar that made him disappear from Aiden's point of view.
