"Meixiu!" Guan Ying exclaimed, instinctively stepping back, her heart racing for a split second.
Yan Meixiu, completely oblivious, continued waving the gun around as she talked. "I mean, you start out a little unsure, a bit messy, but with the right ingredients—and a lot of practice—you get better. Like... perfecting a recipe! So, if I keep at this, I'll be like a master chef, but with guns instead of food!"
The others were momentarily startled, eyes darting nervously between Yan Meixiu and the gun she was carelessly waving around.
"Meixiu, be careful!" Jiang Xiu said, her voice startled.
Jiang Yue, standing a few paces away, finally looked over at the scene. Her eyes flickered briefly with mild amusement.
"Meixiu," she said calmly, "you might want to put the gun down before someone gets an idea they don't want."
