Arriving at a building with the word 'Magistrate Office' carved at its brown, wooden door, Veronica hurriedly exited the carriage, paying the driver with a copper coin before rushing for the building.

It was now evening, and her shadow was hardly noticeable in the darkness. 

Despite taking a carriage, it had taken her a while to arrive here due to the bustling nature of Blythe and the distance.

She had even considered using foot but after her calculations, she found it troubling.

In Blythe, using Abilities for normal activities was prohibited. You had to be permitted by the magistrate's office through your profession or maybe in a life-threatening situation.

"Adios, ma'am," The driver uttered one of the words spoken by a great philosopher of the past.

It was something that according to the philosopher, meant 'goodbye'.

Though in a hurry, Veronica replied out of courtesy. "Adios!"
